Words

Words can mean anything these days. I suppose incredible is a suitable word here. I’m not sure that I would be using the same definition though.

Lizzo turned heads in a see through mesh dress as she made a very dramatic entrance to Cardi B ‘s birthday celebrations.

The Juice singer, 33, showed off her infamous curves as she headed to the rapper’s 29th birthday party in Los Angeles in a stunning purple dress, which hugged her figure.

Lizzo looked incredible and showed she isn’t afraid to wear daring outfits, despite previously speaking out about how she faced a furious backlash and was targeted by “fatphobic, racist and hurtful” trolls when she appeared in a music video for her and Cardi B’s track Rumours.

  1. Was she really surprised by the reaction? If she was I find her surprise surprising. I don’t think that fat shaming was the issue as much as the issue of taste, as in complete lack of.

  2. Lizzo? Who she? Never heard of her.

I’m sorry, but there’s no denying it. This Lizzo (whoever she is) is obese. As you say, she looks incredible, but not in the same sense of the word that the Mirror are using.

  3. What I really want to know is whether she is vaccinated!?! Because she really is at risk of coronavirus, BMI over 40 being a really good co-morbidity.

I would wager that the same people who find her incredible (if they’re not lying…) are probably the same who would want unvaccinated people to not be treated for the rona…

    • Post title :- Words. They mean something. Not the Humpty Dumpty treatment.
She is not incredible. Maybe amazing, gob smacking, and astounding.
But I believe that she exists. Probably tide movements would confirm this, and light bends arround those curves.

The Mirror is obviously using the informal meaning. Personally, I feel that if the word is to be used, the first definition is the closest applicable.

  4. I was hoping to see some booty shaking.
I am sure that by rapidly changing spin direction she could have several layers rotating in opposite directions to the layer nearer the core and the layer further from the core. Seismic alarms triggered.
Imagine being next to her in aeroplane zoo class.

  5. Gah! I clicked the link! But only because I’ve never heard of her
I love the way it’s always the huge land whales that complain about fat shaming

  6. Without meaning to sound racist, why is it only black women who seem to feel that their obesity should be paraded for all to see? Goodness knows what her sex life is like – “pick a crease and dive in, with the risk of never being seen again”.
    Horrendous!

  7. “I do my hair toss
    Check my nails
    Baby how you feelin’?
    Feeling good as hell
    Hair toss
    Check my nails
    Baby how you feelin’?
    Feeling good as hell

If he don’t love you anymore
Just walk your fine ass out the door.”

My daughter introduces me to modern music via my Spotify account. The mental image that I got from this song was a pretty long way from reality.
