It’s Bad For Your Health

Washing

Mr Haji chose to avoid showering over fears that it would bring him bad luck and make him sick.

But ‘for the first time a few months ago, villagers had taken him to a bathroom to wash,’ a local official told the Iranian state media.

‘Not long after, he fell ill and finally, on Sunday… he gave up his life,’ IRNA reported.

See? Proof!

An Iranian man dubbed the ‘dirtiest man in the world’ for not taking a shower for more than half a century has died at the age of 94, state media has reported.

Ah…

On the other hand, you could say that it helped him live for 94 years. Or maybe that was smoking animal faeces.

  1. Your mental state is important at that age. If he believed that it would make him ill. It makes him ill.

These people should be prosecuted for murder. It is no different from injecting people with an experimental drug because they believe it is good for them.

  2. The human body is remarkably adaptable. This is why, like other adaptable animals (rats, etc) we can survive almost anywhere. Animals that are too specified in their habitat can’t succeed – that’s why the world isn’t over run by koala bears.

This man probably had achieved a balance, with his body having established a mini-ecosystem with the bacteria.
Having a shower most likely disrupted that eco-system in a catastrophic way, allowing other unfriendly bacteria in. The “new” bacteria might not even have been unfriendly per se, just “new” and his body reacted negatively because they weren’t familiar.
They could never get a foothold before because the pre-existing bacteria kept them from becoming established.

    Isn’t biology fun?
