Some women on dating apps get precious about height. Now it seems they are taking it a step further.
ChatGPT has already been used to write essays, tell jokes and even write best man speeches.
But it seems the helpful AI bot can even make sure people on dating apps aren’t lying to you about their height.
Women are screenshotting photos from dating app profiles, inserting them into ChatGPT and asking it to provide an estimate of how tall they are.
Firstly, being so precious about something like this seems absurd to me. There is more to a person than their height. However, a profile that insists on a certain height is a red flag – they usually have a long list of terms and conditions, which really tells a prospective date to run in the opposite direction. I’d also say that lying about your height is somewhat daft – after all, on meeting, the lie will be exposed anyway.
The whole thing is nonsense.
Woman: I want a man to be 6′ or he’s not good enough for me!
Wimminz: You go girl! Yas Queen slay! U iz wurf it!
Man: I want a woman who isn’t as fat as Mr. Creosote
Wimminz: Mysoginist! Pervert! How dare you judge a woman by looks alone!
Here in reality land people do in fact have physical preferences that influence who they are attracted to. I got into a long term relationship long before dating apps came along so lying about my appearance wasn’t even an option. I would have thought that lying from the outset was a bit of a red flag. I was always totally honest and take me as I am anyway, I never got why people would hide their true selves until someone had fallen for them, presumably you need to do that if you’re a bit of a horrible person.
I don’t think that in real life women do prefer taller men – so restricting on height is silly.
Saying that my son is going to be over 6ft so anything that increases my chance of grandchildren is great.
What is interesting is that if you look at the profiles that do make such specifications they are usually accompanied by a shopping list of requirements. This is a massive red flag indicating a control freak.
