And Another One Gone

Another one bites the dust.

Hassan Nasrallah died after an IDF attack obliterated a compound in Beirut on Friday leaving the Iran-backed militant organisation leaderless as tensions ratchet up in the region.

Israel is doing a fine job of taking out the trash. Another vile cockroach has gone to meet his 72 virgins. It seems that Israel is doing a fine job despite the rest of the so-called civilised world doing everything possible to handicap their efforts. This one small nation is doing the work the rest of us should be doing and stamping out these Islamic terrorist organisations.

As for the journalist who wept at the news, all I can do is put on my best BSM Williams voice and utter those immortal words, ‘oh dear, how sad, never mind.’ Another scumbag gone and the world just became a little better place. Not to mention a significant proportion of his troops are dead, blinded or goolieless. Glorious.

  1. Big Al is moving in mysterious ways presumably. Or maybe testing their faith or something. As for western governments siding with the bad guys. Socialist thinking has permeated into every area now. The world has to be divided into the two camps of oppressors and the oppressed. Good and evil are not judged on actual moral issues but on which side is the underdog. Presumably, if their enemies weren’t so utterly inept then Israel would be the underdogs.

The mention of Sargeant Major Shut Up reminded me of the heading in Superbike Magazine when they had been road testing the Madras Enfield 350.
    “It ain’t half slow Mum.”
The Indian Enfield has certainly come a long way since then.

  2. For Israel the terrorists are an existential risk. If they win all Israelis will be killed or displaced. The demands a certain sharpness of focus and determination.

For most of the Western politicians the struggle with the terrorists merely provides an opportunity to signal their virtue. They have no skin in the game… for now.

  3. Sort of irrelevant I know but John Deacon only wrote a handful of songs for Queen, the vast majority of songs being written by May and Mercury, Roger Taylor wrote a few, Radio Gaga being the best known. Deacon’s Another One Bites The Dust is one of Queen’s most successful hits, second only to Bohemian Rhapsody I believe.

  4. Watching TwoTierFreeGearKier forced to support Israel, looking like he was trying to stomach something unpalatable at a diplomatic buffet, was the icing on the cake.
