Democracy

Tragedy, FFS!

Georgia’s conspiracy theorists are still disputing the result of the last US presidential election. Will this year’s be more peaceful? I looked for clues in the Atlanta suburbs

The people who are still disputing teh result of the 2016 election, however are fine upstanding folks who value democracy. The tragedy being discussed here is the ‘wrong’ result – i.e. a Trump win, which of course mean the end of democracy, because they lost and everything will turn to ashes. The level of hysteria is frankly staggering. A Trump win will mean a Trump win. Then in four years time, they will go to the polls again and someone else will win because their system only allows two terms.

The article – if you can be bothered to wade through the drivel, is hyperbole and, yes, conspiracy theory, merged into word salad that condensed is ‘Orange man bad.’ TDS on steroids.

Tragedy my arse.

  1. The problem with Trump is that his detractors have erected a monstrous charactature of him that they now believe to be real. For years everything he ever said has been paraphrased to make it sound stupid or evil. They now totally believe in their own propaganda. So now he is a total threat to democracy, unlike fixing elections or trying to kill your political opponents.
