He’s Correct

Karol Sikora.

One of Britain’s most respected doctors has corrected hospital chiefs who claimed newborns were ‘assigned’ a gender at birth – telling them that babies are ‘born as male or female’.

Bosses at the James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, issued advice on ‘inclusive language DOs and DON’Ts’ to ensure staff used correct LGBT+ terminology.

In guidance titled Celebrating Pride, they told staff to use the phrase ‘assigned female/male at birth’ as this more ‘accurately depicts’ what happens when a child is born.

This is the language of the cult. You do not encourage cultish behaviour by pandering to its internal language. No one is assigned anything at birth. To say that it is in order to appease a minority of deranged activists is to lie. Babies are born male or female. This is observed by those present. That’s it. No, I’m not going down the rabbit hole of intersex as that is such a tiny proportion of cases it’s not worth pursuing. Besides which, intersex is something they wheel out when the flaws in their reasoning are pointed out.

But Professor Karol Sikora, a leading cancer specialist and consultant oncologist, posted on X: ‘The NHS should not be disagreeing with the fact that babies are born as male or female – they are not ‘assigned’ at birth.’

Professor Sikora, who earned a distinction in obstetrics during his clinical training, added: ‘Having delivered multiple babies myself, I can fully assure you that they arrive already male or female.’

The refreshing voice of sanity. That this is newsworthy tells us much about how far we have fallen into the grip of this cult. As far as ‘correct LGBTQ+ terminology’ is concerned – go get fucked.

Hospital employees were also told to avoid terms such as ‘ladies and gentlemen’, as well as titles including ‘mailman’, ‘fireman’ and ‘policeman’.

Oh really? Well, ladies and gentlemen, did I tell you the one where a mailman, a policeman and a firemen went into a pub?

Medical staff were also told to refer to certain people by using ‘ze’ or ‘zir’ pronouns because they are ‘gender neutral and preferred by some trans people’.

Fuck off.

Helen Joyce, director of advocacy at the human-rights charity Sex Matters, said: ‘It’s hard to fathom that any hospital is still promoting trans-activist language more than two years after the then health secretary instructed the NHS to return to biologically accurate language.

‘It is also frankly embarrassing to see a hospital – a place where medical knowledge matters – making the ridiculous argument that people are ‘assigned’ female or male at birth rather than simply being female or male, as a matter of material reality.

Precisely.

  1. “…as a matter of material reality.”

Maybe the coming deluge of NHS improvements will also prove not to be in accord with material reality?

  2. Hospital employees were also told to avoid … titles including ‘mailman’

Quite right. It’s “postman”, you igonorant morons.

  3. Sometimes our letters are delivered by a postman and sometimes by a postlady. This stuff isn’t difficult.

  4. It’s worse than that. Babies develop in the womb as female or male. Many people avidly view the prebirth scans to know ‘what they are getting’.

So while babies may be assigned as male or female at birth this is mere record keeping and nothing to do with their real life sex. And not at all helpful to anyone other than an activist.

  5. How about we record births as XX or XY?

Come to that, we could have XX and XY sports, XX and XY toilets and so on.

Would seem to avoid a lot of misunderstanding.

  6. Fun story. The male side of my family generally doesn’t produce girls. My dad was one of four brothers. Between them they produced five boys and one girl. My mum wanted a daughter but only got three sons, I was the only one of the three who went on to breed and only produced one sprog. When the time came for ultrasound scans it was impossible to tell. No problem we know that it was going to be a boy because of our track record. When I rung my mum and told her it’s a girl, she went dizzy and had to sit down.

On the subject of XX or XY chromosomes, I like the analogy of seaside rock. A stick of Bridlington rock has the word Bridlington printed on both ends. You bite a lump off and it still says Bridlington on the end because the writing goes all the way through. Blackpool rock is the same but has the word Blackpool all the way through instead. If I were to take a stick of Bridlington rock, white out the letters and then write Blackpool on the ends, it would look exactly like Blackpool rock. It would still be Bridlington rock though.

  7. The problem with Western civilisation, as I see it, is that far too many people, particularly those in positions of power, are ashamed of it. Americans and Europeans have succeeded in building by far the most advanced, successful and enlightened civilisation in history. The problem with the mentality of the left is that they hate success. To them, in order to be successful you have to be oppressing someone else. The problem can’t possibly be that those someone elses are thick and have no work ethic, or that they are hampered by a government that still thinks that communism can somehow work. No no, it’s all our fault for exploiting and oppressing them.

  8. “…did I tell you the one where a mailman, a policeman and a firemen went into a pub?”

No. But an Englishman*,an Irishman* and a Scotsman* went into a pub. The barman* said “Is this some sort of joke?”

    * Englishperson, Irishperson, Scotsperson, Barperson? 😉
