Two surprises, in fact.
A burglar, who suffered instant karma after he tried to break into a house, has been jailed for more than two years.
David Timmins, 42, broke into a home on Penistone Road, in Sheffield in the early hours of September 2.
But he mistakenly alerted the homeowners to his presence when he switched on the downstairs light.
The couple immediately called the police, who when they arrived ten minutes later found Timmins pinned down on the sofa by one of the homeowners.
Firstly that Plod weren’t too busy monitoring social media for and thoughtcrime hurty words to attend and secondly that they arrested the burglar and not the homeowner who was restraining him.
Recently, we had a similar incedent in France. A Farmer had been plauged with thefts saw a car driving away. He followed it in his car and pushed the theives’ car into a ditch. Despite stolen goods found in the theives’ car, it was the farmer who was fined.
Did they prosecute the thief as well? If not there is a case to be outraged about. If the thief was prosecuted then I think that the farmer should have been sanctioned for what was quite definitely dangerous driving.
Could be still smart to play it safe and dispose of the burglar’s body bit by bit in order not to be at risk of being arrested and charged.
