You and I might know the answer to this question, but Two Tier, Free Gear Kier and others have been unable to give such an answer. Now, it has taken a court ruling to confirm what most of humanity has known since time immemorial.
The Supreme Court has unanimously ruled that “woman” and “sex” in the Equality Act 2010 refers to biological sex.
This means that only people who are born female should be protected from discrimination as a woman under the Act in a landmark ruling
There you go. It has taken a court case and judges to tell you what you already know, wight God knows how much money wasted along the way. So, the TRAs who call you a bigot for pointing out the obvious, there is now a formal legal definition.
What times we live in.
I am surprised 2tier wasn’t able to prejudice the court to get a diffferent ruling. After all, he has form.
You should read the Guardian take on it. Or maybe not…
I can imagine what it says.
Although I was hoping for this ruling, because it’s the right one, it’s a sign of the insane times we live in that I was expecting the Supreme Court to rule differently. Still, I’ll take the win. I just hope now that we will start seeing men being barred from female only spaces and from taking part in female sports.
And a sign of the blinkered arrogance of the establishment that they are now scrambling to update guidelines, instead of preparing them in advance…
The state doesn’t do proactive. They barely do reactive unless forced into it.
The right ruling for the wrong reasons.
I would think that posters on blogs like these would support it on the grounds of common sense. While campaign groups* like those that brought the case are doing it to remain top of the privilege hierarchy.
*and where is the money coming from to fund all this?
Mr Pants
So true – men’s rights were out on the back burner by the Radical feminists who are hailing this victory several decades ago – which is something they are quick to forget. And they still rail against ‘men only spaces’ whenever they find them while simultaneously Carling for special privileges for themselves. While of course the militant trans activists are pieces of garbage who I think would be best dealt with by ISIS, in some ways they are both as intolerant of dissent as each other. Again there’s a small part of me that hopes we get a version of ISIS in the U.K. so these people can see what real misogyny and ‘toxic masculinity’ is.
The irony hasn’t escaped me.
