Boris in Trouble Again

Boris Johnson is in the mire once more. Only a couple of weeks after his Liverpool fiasco, Boris has been removed from the Tory front bench over allegations about his private life and whether his circumspection misled the leadership.

What we are seeing here is the Tabloid Press at work, doing what they do best; destroying people. Boris more or less echoed Mark Steyn’s comments in his leader in the Spectator. Liverpool does wallow in self pity and ersatz grief mongering. It does still dwell on Hillsborough some fifteen years after the event. Britain has become a dumbed down society unable to move on after a disaster without wallowing like obscene hippopotami in the goo of self-pity. And no, I damn well won’t apologise for those words.

I really don’t give a flying fig for what Boris does in his private life. That is a matter for him and his wife and family – and no one else. However, the scumbags who write, edit and publish such awful rags as the News of The World will home in on a potential victim like playground bullies. Not satisfied with the unnecessary public mauling and humiliation Boris suffered following the Spectator article, they started rooting around looking for any piece of dirt they could use in order to finish the job off.

What is worse, is that the Great British public buys this garbage. They pay money to these vile parasites.

Fortunately, Boris is a survivor. He will be back – and, hopefully, continue to say what most of us are thinking. Unfortunately, the tabloid press will continue to be the sewage that flows beneath the gutters of our streets.
