Actually, it’s not difficult at all. All it takes is the balls to say; “well, resign you fucker. You’re nicked, you have the right to remain silent and anything you do say, we’ll pin on you later.” This summary justice thing could be useful after all.

  1. In so far as telling the police this means anything that could not and should not be ignored as totally irrelevant, it must be an attempt to pervert the course of justice.

    “…a spokesman for Mr Blair denied that he had been “going around saying he will resign if that happened [being interviewed under caution]…”

    No-one claims that Blair himself had been saying this:

    “Allies of Mr Blair indicated to Scotland Yard…”
