Tough Titty

The criminals masquerading under the title “Anonymous” are miffed that someone stole their trademark.

In a YouTube video, Anonymous said it “will take down any business they have going on the internet”.

“The 99% will not stop until the registration has been revoked and a public apology has been made,” it continued, making reference to the Occupy protest movement in the US.

“The name of Anonymous will not be the whore of the world.”

A couple of points here. A bunch of disparate script kiddies do not own the name “Anonymous” so it isn’t up to them  to decide what is or is not a whore. Secondly, if they are that upset about someone trade marking the logo, they should have done it themselves. They didn’t. Someone else did. Cry me a river. Oh, and they do not –  absolutely not –  represent 99% of anything or anyone but themselves. They certainly do not represent me –  I find the whole thing highly amusing.

Typically, Anonymous members attempt to disrupt the function of websites by co-ordinating a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, which overloads the target’s website to make it unusable.

Fine. That is a criminal offence and they will be hunted down and prosecuted, which is a good thing.
