All of a Twatter

If you are a cretin and drive like one, it is probably best not to boast about it on social media.

Toby Hockley was on the 100-mile Boudicca Sportive ride in Norfolk on Sunday when he was struck by a car and flung into a hedge, he said.

The incident is being linked to a comment on Twitter by a Norwich woman.

It read: “Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier. I have right of way – he doesn’t even pay road tax!”

The tweet included the hashtag “#Bloodycyclists”.

The message has been forwarded to Norfolk Police, who are investigating.

Okay, so this moron should have her licence removed permanently and then it shoved sidewise where the sun don’t shine. She should not be on the road. Ever. The cyclist involved is being remarkably magnanimous here in calling her foolish –  bloody dangerous, more like. And, indeed, the police are right to investigate. If they have enough evidence, they should prosecute –  and it should involve at the very least a revocation of her driving licence if found guilty. Dangerous drivers, we don’t need. And, no, not paying road tax is not an excuse for dangerous driving. I cycle but I pay road tax on three other vehicles, so that one doesn’t wash. Besides, pedestrians don’t pay road tax either –  is that carte blanch to mow them down on country lanes?

According to the injured party:

She came on to my side of the road…

Ah, so she didn’t have priority (there being no such thing as “right of way”) as she was on the wrong side of the road.

Two wheeled vehicles are vulnerable in the event of a collision, it is the responsibility of all road users to avoid those collisions. Perhaps next time she tries it, she will plough into the front of a bloody great truck.

Ähhh you know me by now, and I really do NOT think you would like me to describe what I think, here….

Suffice to say, I HAVE managed to make H.A/81 blush a bit.

    You know what I mean.

  2. I find it interesting that certain imbeciles seem to be unable to resist parading their phenomenal stupidity on social media websites. Still, as you say, if it gets her taken off the road it will probably prevent future accidents.

  3. The arrogance of some motorists is unbelievable. She thinks that she can attempt to kill someone just because she pays tax! I hope that when she goes to court, she is heavily fined (if you don’t hit the pocket, she’ll think she got away with it) and banned from driving until she retakes and passes a test. 👿
