He’s Right

Islamophobia is a non-word.

Snow pointed out Ahmed is a Muslim and that Dawkins had been accused of Islamophobia. “I don’t care if he was a Muslim,” he replied. “I’m always being accused of Islamophobia, that’s a non-word.

As I have said before, this is simply a word invented purely for the purpose of shutting down dissent – a bit like “denier” when anyone dares to question the religion of anthropogenic climate change. People who use these words do not deserve to be taken seriously. A phobia is a clinical condition – an irrational and extreme fear or hatred.  A fear and hatred of a primitive superstition that exhorts its followers to kill unbelievers  is perfectly rational. There is no such thing as Islamophobia. Just as there is no such thing as a climate change denier.

It  really is time we wrested our language back from the SJWs and vigorously rebut their twisted usage.

There is no such thing as Islamophobia!

  1. My comment upon the latest mishap in Saudi Arabia over at the Freethinker blog:

All of my life I have tried to have a benign outlook on the world and have concern for the happiness of my fellow man. I have tried very hard to remember that not all Muslims have murderous tendencies and that I should treat people as individuals whatever their religion. I’m afraid that the followers of Islam have ground me down to the point that when I heard this particular piece of news I just laughed. I can no longer stop myself from thinking that the death of these idiots has made the world a slightly better place.

  2. Actually, there ARE climate change deniers …
    BUT
Your principal thrust is entirely correct.
The best bit is that “phobia” is a irrational fear.
What about a rational fear, of certain sections of islam?
[ Note: The Amhadia, Sufi & Ismaili sects are about as dangerous as the Quakers … ]

  3. “Actually, there ARE climate change deniers …”

I’m sure there are some but they are a tiny minority. The word denier is used by the alarmists to label anyone who disagrees with them even a tiny bit. Even pointing out that wind turbines are a terrible idea will get you called a denier.
