A man who tweeted about stopping a Muslim woman in the street yesterday, challenging her to “explain Brussels”, and lambasted on Twitter for his comments, has responded to the criticism today, insisting he is not some ‘far right merchant’.
Matthew Doyle, partner at a south London-based talent & PR agency, posted a tweet on Wednesday morning saying: “I confronted a Muslim woman in Croydon yesterday. I asked her to explain Brussels. She said ‘nothing to do with me’. A mealy mouthed reply.”
Normal for Croydon, then? An idiot, certainly. Apparently, it never occurred to him that using the moron’s medium of Twitter wouldn’t backfire – that alone makes him a cretin of planetary proportions. Naturally, the mob that festers on this idiotic medium struck back. That, then, should have been it – idiot opens gob, other idiots point out his idiocy. End of.

A man from Croydon has been arrested after comments about confronting a Muslim woman in the street to explain the Brussels attacks were posted on Twitter.
So, in the wake of terror attacks and the possibility that they might happen this side of the channel, our police force is busying itself arresting fuckwits for being fuckwits.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “We have arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of inciting racial hatred on social media.
He is not the only fuckwit. Islam is not a race. It is a religion, a political ideology, a legal system [sic]. It is not, never was and never will be, a race. Being a moron who challenges a Muslim woman over an atrocity is not, never was, and never will be, anything whatsoever to do with race. Openly detesting Islam is not racist, saying idiotic things to a Muslim and spurting it on the modern version of speak your branes, is not inciting racial hatred. Indeed, hating Islam – which, frankly, is perfectly rational – is not inciting racial hatred, because, and I type this slowly so that the fuckwits can follow it; Islam is not a race! FFS!

We’ve no evidence that this woman even existed. I could Tweet that I’d just been out for a run before eating a bowl of muesli. But I’m actually sitting here in my dressing gown playing on the Internet and eating toast.

I suspect m’learned friends will have a small field day with this once the charges are dropped. Such a shame that the inevitable compensation paid will ultimately be picked up by the UK taxpayer, rather than the fuckwits in the Met who authorised this arrest.
And as John pointed out. there’s a shitstorm coming Croydon nick’s way, now it transpires they were so eager to railroad this poor sod they forgot that they don’t have the authority to charge under Sec 19!
