This is the stuff of sexual harassment?
A female Labour MP has today revealed the collection of love notes she claims Kelvin Hopkins sent her in 20 years of ‘upsetting’ and unwanted harassment.
Kerry McCarthy has unveiled a cache of letters, birthday and postcards which she says the veteran Labour MP sent her in two decades of pestering.
The notes allegedly began in 1994 when she was a young Labour activist and went out for lunch with Mr Hopkins believing they would solely talk politics.
This is the latest news to rock Westminster after a series of allegations made against standing MPs have prompted a number of resignations in recent weeks.
Jeebus! Given that he is married, yes it was out-of-order, but sexual harassment? Really?
And Kerry Fucking MCarthy? That says much about the man’s judgement.
Heh, if there’s a bandwagon going you can bet your pension that McCarthy will jump on it…
This was the evil cow who wanted all men in Bristol DNA tested to catch a murderer – so, yeah, any bandwagon for cheap publicity.
Well to be fair it’s possible that 20 years ago she was worth a squirt, but I wouldn’t want to bet on’t.
So some woman received various communications many years ago that upset and disgusted her so that she kept them. Why? I have no doubt that this fragrant flower was traumatised by these messages, continues to be traumatised by them and will continue to be so, right up until the compensation cheque clears.
