  1. Offer them the travel and procreation option.

Club Med 18-30? Something with the word ‘Magaluf’ in it?

  2. “As part of our Christmas decoration, we display the name Jesus to point out to everyone that we in this family believe that the reason for the season is to celebrate the birth of Jesus,” said Mr Wivell.

Offended by a fact? The birth & crucifixion of Jesus is historical fact. The “debate” is if Jesus was Christ, the son of God.

Shame on homeowners association for supporting the nasty bigot* complainer.

*2018 turn left speak back on them, they are the intolerant, fascist bigots.

    • I don’t share their beliefs, but by God, I’ll stand at their side against the intolerant bigots who hide behind an anonymous complaint because they are offended.

  3. If he existed, the evidence that he did is much weaker then most people think, then he must have been born at some time. There is however no evidence that he was born on Decemer 25th. Long before Christianity started to spread to Europe, midwinter festivals were already established. The birth of Christ was a convenient thing to celebrate in order to Christianise the event, nothing more.

    • Hmmm, not sure about that. I think the evidence he existed is reasonably strong. The fact that he appears in the Koran as a prophet would argue that if a competing religion accepts he existed then he probably did. However I do believe that his real birthdate has been put at around sometime in July…

      • The Qu’ran is not contempraneous. Christianity was well established by the time it was written, so it is not a new, independent source.

The obvious source would be Roman records, yet they say nothing, which is surprising given the claimed events – or not if you accept that it was all made up.

Logic suggests that Jesus Christ is a Robin Hood type figure; a mix of myths and legends drawn from a mishmash of fact, half truth and outright fiction, covering a period several centuries.

Either you believe it or you don’t. Personally, I don’t, any more than I believe in the existence of any of the other myths and legends about gods and god-like creatures.
