Jesus!

I know the Guardian hates us – especially the English, more pertinently, white English males, but this is a new low even for them.

The Guardian view on the Trump visit: not welcome in Britain

I wasn’t aware that the Guardian spoke for Britain. It certainly does not speak for me. I despise the nasty little rag and everything it represents with every fibre of my being. The Donald is the holder of an office and as that holder of his office is here on a state working* visit. These things happen regardless of who is the holder of the office. I didn’t complain about Obama coming here on a state visit despite reviling the man and his politics, because he was POTUS at the time and the USA is one of our allies. It’s how things work.

Theresa May let her country down by inviting a hostile US president to make a needless visit here.

What? I mean, seriously, what? The USA is not hostile, nor is the POTUS. He represents our greatest ally. His country is our friend – and I, in particular, look upon Americans as friends and allies as part of the Anglo-sphere. More so than our closer neighbours. The Guardian has long been a hotbed of treason and anti-Americanism and here it displays it out in the open.

We support peaceful protests against his presence and his policies

So do I. However, the right to protest and freedom of speech should be universal, which means that people like Tommy Robinson should be able to protest freely without risk of being locked up or prosecuted for “hate speech” or the made-up offence of Islamophobia. You know, that freedom to protest, criticise and revile out there in the open without fear or favour. If it’s good enough for the left to protest Trump and his policies (which it is), then it’s good enough for others to protest about Muslim grooming gangs…

They certainly belong on any list of objections to his presence here, for he is one of the most unsuitable people to hold his great democratic office in American history.

Sez the Guardian, which is good enough reason to believe the precise opposite. I like him better already.

The charge list against Mr Trump is long, unignorable and impossible to tolerate.

There, FTFY.

But the president of the United States is supposedly our chief ally,

He is.

with whose country we claim a special relationship,

We have.

with whom we have shared deep democratic values.

We do.

When such a leader spits on the foundations of that alliance and actively promotes values and interests which are hostile to ours, the tough lesson of history is that he should not be honoured and must not be appeased.

He hasn’t. Unlike professional politicians, he immediately set about doing what he campaigned to do – in the interests of his country, which is precisely why millions of Americans voted for him. Also, instead of playing the media’s game, he has toyed with them and played a blinder. The peddlers of lies and obfuscation – such as the BBC, the Guardian et al, don’t know how to deal with someone who calls them out as the purveyors of lies that they are. I like him better already. Watching these people squirm has been worth every minute of Trump’s presidency to date – not least, their criticism of him for doing things that were okay under his predecessor, the sainted Obama.

Before leaving for Britain on Thursday, Mr Trump told the press: “They like me a lot in the UK.” Fake news again. We don’t like him at all. He is not welcome here.

Since when did you speak for all of us? Oh, that’s right, you don’t, you pompous, self-righteous arseholes. You, the Guardian, and your allies in the legacy media are the purveyors of fake news – and I repeat, do not presume to speak for me, because you do not and you never have nor will you ever, as the representatives of highly illiberal, totalitarian ideologies (you don’t know what “liberal” even means). I was more than happy for the state visit to go ahead and as far as I am concerned he is welcome to return, so your statement is wrong – fake news.

You are the scum that resides ‘twixt the dog turd and the pavement. Go back there, where you belong.

  1. Point of detail here, its down as a ‘Working’ visit, not a ‘State’ visit. Keep thinking that at some point the Lefties will have a blinding moment of realisation that shutting down debate, howling abuse at those who hold a different view, rioting through the streets to protest ‘Hate’, etc., actually makes them the fascists that they so dearly love to paint their opponents with. Hopelessly deluded, I know…

  2. You know the current fashion is to apologise, especially if you happen to have said something true or with a good helping of common sense, and the usual offendatrons go into meltdown, so otherwise decent people then fall into the open trap of apologising, which gives these lefty cretins orgasmic delight, and encourages them to more.

Well, we the once Great British Public owe the Great American Public, as well as their President, a firm and heartfelt apology, for allowing that basted blimp to be flown in London.
We have not only insulted the President of the USA by allowing it to be flown, but we’ve managed to insult millions of American Patriots too for the same reason.

So i for one offer my apologies to President Trump and the loyal American people who naturally support their President, i am truly sorry and the real Britsh people are ashamed of the actions of people who should have been hauled up to the bloody Tower and dealt with.
If Lady Thatcher were in charge the heavy mob would have dealt severely with anyone who insulted President Reagan in such a manner and one of them would have shot the blasted thing out of the sky, and i hope some decent chap does exactly that.

No the Grauniad does not speak for us, the working backbone of Britain, and nor does the bloody state broadcaster nor the myriad of other sources of fake news and propaganda, i imagine The President knows perfectly well he’s saying and doing the right things because he’s upsetting all the right people, if the Graun or Beeb approved then he’d be worried, you know what they say about the heaviest flak when over the target.

President Trump is very welcome here, anytime, if he’d like to stay for a few days and sort the mess our virtually pointless politicians and armies of apparatchiks have made of our country over the last few decades you won’t hear and complaints from me.

  3. Point of detail here. Tommy Robinson was arrested and jailed for contempt of court, because he was tweeting the proceedings of a court case, prejudicing the outcome and in contravention of an injunction.

So hardly jailed for being a freedom fighter, and more jailed for being a bloody idiot

    • because he was tweeting the proceedings of a court case, prejudicing the outcome

Another point of detail – no he wasn’t, AFAIK the trial was already over and they were there for sentencing. Contravention of the injunction, yes. However, whether Robinson is an idiot or not is irrelevant, the fact that the British government have tried to stifle free speech remains.

    • You’re wrong. The trial had already concluded. They were out to get him no matter what.

    • MSM go into fits of outrage when “Mr Loophole” wins on a technicality; yet rejoices when Tommy jailed on a technicality.

      Fair justice? IMHO no.

      @John – Wrong.

  4. “…he is one of the most unsuitable people to hold his great democratic office in American history.”

Blimey, where does he put HIS cigars then..?!?

  5. The Graun does share “democratic values” with the US Democrats: “You are free to hold any opinions as long as they are the ones of which we approve”.

What’s really frightening is the number of seemingly intelligent people who subscribe to this bollocks.

A pox on them all and a plague on all their houses.

  6. To parody leftie The Proclaimers

I’d go a thousand miles to “have tea” with EIIR or POTUS Trump. It would be splendid, wonderful. They’re great people.

Left, MSM & Tim W: learn to use “I” not “We”
