The government can make whatever rules it wants for Christmas.

“It’s too early to say” what Covid rules will be in place by Christmas, the environment secretary has said.

George Eustice warned people “may not be able to get together in the larger groups that they normally would”.

Opposition parties have called for coronavirus rules to be the same across all four UK nations this Christmas.

I don’t have any particular plans myself, but whatever I decide, I will do, regardless of any rules laid down by the authoritarian scumbags in Westmonster. Enough already. Yes, sure there is a small risk of getting a nasty bout of flu, but there always was. Better to live with risk than to endure a living death imposed by the charlatans in SAGE.

Mr Eustice said: “We want people to have a Christmas that is as close to normal as possible.

“There will undoubtedly be frustrations about the restrictions but people also understand we have to control the spread of the virus.”

You can’t, you moron. Lock-downs don’t work. The best they do is kick the can down the road and that was achieved back in May.

  1. “There will undoubtedly be frustrations about the restrictions but people also understand we have to control the spread of the virus.”

No there won’t and I don’t actually think even a cockwomble like George Eustace really thinks so. People will do what they think is appropriate. For some that means “following government advice to protect granny”, but for the vast majority they won’t give a flying fuck about whatever the “rules” are. If they want to have a Christmas Party for 26 then they will do it and bugger George Eustace and his “restrictions”.

Bet you won’t see many COVID coppers in the backstreets of Bradford, Liverpool or Manchester come Christmas time. The cops know better.

  2. As evidence that what you are doing in not harmful you could quote the report that some Scottish Government wallah has produced on sending old folk who have tested positive for covid in hospital back to their care homes. I paraphrase.
“There is no statistical evidence that sending sick people into care homes caused any subsequent deaths in the care homes. ”
These same hospitals where people dealing with the sick old folk wear full haz-mat suits.
Deaths attributed to covid in Sweden now averaging less than 5 daily.
    Einstein’s definition of insanity?
He never gave his thoughts on those who follow the insane.
