ii) keep isolated (shut borders as much as possible) and a bit lockdowned while other countries fight virus and allow virus to mutate to something not so lethal*
iii) reopen borders and only have a wave of mild flu to deal with instead of killer Chinese flu.

The fact Sars-Cov-2 is a “virus transmissable [sic] diseases” is irrelevant. What matters is the death rate, nothing else including “cases”. WHO admitted Covid-19 was similar or less fatal than Flu. Thus the punishment of populations is a choice, not in any way a necessity or justifiable.
