Ouroboros

Sometimes, you just have to sit back, order in more popcorn and enjoy the show.

Streaming platform Twitch has backtracked on a new policy to change its spelling of “women” after criticism from transgender communities.

The company had said it would use the term “womxn” in order to be more gender neutral in its language.

But LGBT communities online called the change transphobic because it suggested trans women were not women.

This is hilarious. In an attempt to appease the woke, Twitch fell foul of the woke. You see, there is no winning with this toxic ideology. Try to avoid being called transphobic by pandering to the wokerati, with a mangled vandalism of the English language and the landscape has just moved beneath your feet before the ink has dried on your pixels. This is what happens to appeasers. You cannot win this game and those who try are foolish for doing so and if they get eaten, which they will, well serves ’em right.

The only way to play, is not to play.

BTW – there is no such thing as transphobia, just as there’s no such thing as Islamophobia or homophobia. And there is no such thing as womxn – never has been and never will be. The word is women – that is, biological women who are born with XX chromosomes. A transwoman is not and never will be a biological female. Sorry, but that’s the way it is. We cannot change biology, merely the outward appearance. Concede the language, you are playing by their rules and their rules are, heads, they win, tails you lose. So don’t play. Refuse to concede refuse to acknowledge their idiotic world view. Laugh at them. Never grant them the gravitas they desire.

Bear in mind here that the majority of trans people are not interested in this game either. There is no trans community just as there is no black community, gay community and so on. There are individuals who have their own thoughts, ideas and politics and most of them would rather be left alone to live their lives without the histrionic screeching of activists.

  1. @LR Well said, I agree especially on “the majority of trans people are not interested in this game either” as Josephine @TW made clear many times

  2. The word womxn is transphobic because it suggests that trans women are not women? All it suggests to me is that they can’t spell. It isn’t actually possible to follow the reasoning of such people and it’s a total waste of time to even try.

  3. Oh yes and I learned a new word today.
    Ouroboros:
a circular symbol depicting a snake, or less commonly a dragon, swallowing its tail, as an emblem of wholeness or infinity.
Or an emblem of demented fruitloops swallowing each other presumably.
