Absolutely Right

Never apologise to the wokists.

Comedian Lee Hurst says he has ‘no regrets’ and has failed to apologise after taking aim at Greta Thunberg on Twitter.

Well, yes, daring to say anything negative about Saint Greta s bound to bring with it opprobrium. The truth is she’s a sanctimonious little troll who has been cultivated by her equally obnoxious handlers. What did Hurst actually say?

He was swiftly suspended from the social media platform after writing: “As soon as Greta discovers c***, she’ll stop complaining about the single use plastic it’s wrapped in.”

Well, it made me snigger.

Speaking to the Daily Star about the vile joke…

Oh, come on, get over yourselves. It’s hardly vile. The ghost of Mary Whitehouse lives, it seems.

…Lee admitted that he didn’t regret a thing about the comment.

Good. That’s the way to do it. Stand firm, refuse to back down and don’t whatever you do apologise. If Twatter keeps him off the platform, alt tech is steadily growing.

He added: “No regrets. It got laughs.”

Which is the point of comedy – to poke fun at the shibboleths of the day. In a more enlightened age, the object of the fun would laugh along with it.

It is not the first time that Lee has been at the centre of controversy after Piers Morgan branded the comedian a ‘selfish p****’ last year.

In October 2020, Piers branded Lee “pathetic” for boasting about not wearing a mask while doing a food shop.

At the time, Piers wrote: “Imagine finding the simple task of wearing a mask to help save lives so intolerable a burden that it makes you such a reckless, selfish pr*ck?”

He wound up that pompous prick Piers Morgan, too. Definitely one of the good guys.

  1. This was the Piers Morgan who jetted off to Antigua whilst telling everyone else to stay home, yes? As for any criticism of St Greta the cerebrally challenged, there’s not enough in the entire world.

  2. I recall Mary Whitehouse, though was probably too young to make much sense of her overall intent.

In some respects though, she was maybe right, picked the wrong fights perhaps.

When children have access to really quite explicit pyrography and are bombarded with confusing and imho damaging messaging with respect to family, security et al, something seems to have gone wrong. It all started somewhere.

    • She would have had a point about the Grammys where two women were engaging in lesbian pornography on prime time TV and claiming that his was somehow empowering.

  3. Lovely ! That’s cheered me up ! Great to see the repulsive Swedish twat commented on in such a humorous way !

  4. Well done Lee Hurst

The same Piers Morgan photographed in Taxi who found wearing a mask to help save lives so intolerable a burden? Such a reckless, selfish pr*ck or hypocrite?

Piers Morgan is the prick for believing a mask protects him or others from the SARS-COV-2 virus

According to the left Greta Thunberg knows what she is talking about. But Shamima Begum didn’t know what she was doing

  5. I don’t see why everyone thinks Lee was making a joke. It seems more of a prediction that will inevitably come true to me..
And yes – not apologising is the right path to take.. in fact he should double down… follow it up with comments about her instead perhaps eating wildlife soon enough.. like maybe beaver for example. All in the cause of inclusivity and equality you understand.

That’s the point. That’s why it is funny. And that’s why the usual suspects are up in arms about it.
