The Reward for Failure

It’s a knighthood, apparently.

He became a household name at the start of the pandemic as one half of the scientific duo flanking Prime Minister Boris Johnson during difficult Downing Street press conferences.

Now, Professor Chris Whitty is in line to receive a knighthood, with a behind-the-scenes campaign under way to recognise his ‘tireless’ work over the past year.

His tireless work peddling dodgy statistics to justify a totally unnecessary lock-down, the destruction of our economy, increased mental health problems, unknown fatalities directly due to this insane policy and spewing a constant stream of fear-mongering. Yup, the reward for being a complete charlatan is a knighthood.

Time to scrap the honours system, frankly.

  1. You’re assuming that he’s failed.

If the intention is to consolidate control and power in the hands of a few big corporations, while destroying the small scale economy and making thousands more dependant on the state (giving more political power), all while getting people used to (or testing their willingness to) follow mandates from on high,
Then he’s been a resounding success and deserves a bauble.

    • Well, if we are giving rewards for those things, the only thing old Witless has done is to push fearmongering on behalf of the behavioral psychologists in SAGE, so they deserve it more than he does.

    • Maybe, maybe not. Remember he had his girlfriend come over during the lockdown he supposedly supported, showing what he really thought about it and giving the game away to the rest of us.

  2. Well considering that barely a year ago they gave an OBE to that fat, talentless c**t James Cordon I’m surprised that Whitty hasn’t been sent to the House of Lords.

  3. Considering some other tossers who got one Whitty is small potatoes. I know he was doing what he was told but he’s not the first and won’t be the last.
