The French want to re-stage the battle of Trafalgar.
French fishermen said they were ready to restage the Battle of Trafalgar as they descended on the harbour this morning.
Jean-Claude La Vaullée, skipper of Le Cach, said: ‘I’ve refuelled the boat – we’re ready to restage the Battle of Trafalgar.’
Because, of course, it went so well last time…

French boats were seen sailing back to France today after being faced down by two Royal Navy gunboats in the sea off Jersey after an attempted blockade of the island sparked by a row over post-Brexit fishing rights.
French fishermen said they were ready to restage the Battle of Trafalgar as they descended on the harbour this morning. But by 1.30pm navigation charts showed the armada had given in and was sailing back towards their home waters.
Looks like they really did re-stage Trafalgar after all.
Can we re-do Waterloo and Agincourt as well?

Prior to the 1789 revolution, many French battalions indeed carried flags that were a white cross on a white background.
Mind you, the French of old didn’t have the bargaining chip of supplying “Zero Carbon” (nuclear) electricity that is now the case. Jersey will be pretty much screwed if the Frogs do turn the undersea cables off, and our grid would have to hastily re-think their energy mix if we suddenly lost 2 GW’s of inter-connector…

Have seen some suggestion that the jersey side have proven they used french grounds and yet been given zero access.
The french can’t prove they used to fish around jersey – because they never used to switch the trackers on as then you would have to fish within the rules.
I think the jersey fishermen should invade france.
Because obviously that is what happened and the media did not make anything of this up this time.
