Losing it?

Has JRM been taken over by the body snatchers?

Commons leader Jacob Rees-Mogg has hailed Health Secretary Matt Hancock as a “successful genius” – after he was allegedly branded “hopeless” by the PM.

It comes after Boris Johnson’s ex-aide Dominic Cummings released messages critical of the health secretary.

Mr Rees-Mogg dismissed them as “trivia”, adding that Mr Hancock’s work had made the world safer.

But Labour’s leader said the prime minister’s border policies showed he was “as hopeless as Hancock”.

I don’t know what he’s been smoking, but can I have some? Hancock is not only clueless and incompetent, he has a nasty totalitarian streak to go with it. The objective evidence tells us that he is entirely unsuited to his role – so, too, the PM. There is no defence for either of these two clowns after the shit show over which they have presided this past year. If JRM had any sense, he would be diplomatically distancing himself. Unless, of course, he is offering praise while holding a knife behind his back…

He called his cabinet colleague “the brilliant, the one and only successful genius who has been running health over the last 15 months”, adding that “he has done so much to make not only the country but the world safer”.

I appear to have stepped into  parallel universe where nothing makes any sense anymore. Genius and Matt Handjob don’t fit together in the same sentence.

  1. Jacob Rees-Mogg is the leader of the House of Knaves and Fools, so which is he? Chief Knave or Chief Fool?

I’m still undecided, it seems like all his pop, vim and vigour of his early days as a backbench MP have evaporated and all we are left with is the outer husk. A shame really, but never mind.

  2. He’s a minister now, so he has to toe the government’s line (collective responsibility and all that).

Whether he actually believes what he’s saying is another matter…

  3. Rees Mogg has just proven to be another twat whose principles disappeared once he got to taste power. Hancock, saviour of the world…I mean, that’s a whole new level of stupid.

    • There was a time when my role involved competence management and assessment. I don’t have to be occupationally competent myself to tell that Handjob is way off the scale when it comes to incompetence.

      • I’ve finished reading the book by Pr. Raoult. He has been very successful in treating people with hydroxichloriquine and azythromycin for 6 days as soon as they’re tested positive, as the viral load is then reduced dramatically.

Neither is a new drug and both are (or were in rich countries until last March) used by 100s of millions around the world, especially against lupus, rhumatoid arthritis and lung diseases, inter alia.

He says that sending people who test positive home without treatment means that those at risk will be admitted at hospital directly in ICU when they return, and the prognosis is then very poor. Not because of the virus but because of the immune reaction which will have caused extensive damage by then. I did not know that, but when people “die of covid”, they are actually not infected with the virus anymore.

Notwithstanding the fact that it is an old person’s disease (over 75), and if not, that the life expectancy of the victims was already less than a year because of other underlying conditions.

Justice works at a different pace but I believe justice will eventually catch up with johnson and co.
