Betteridge of the Day

Would the world be better if it was run by teenagers?

FFS! I remember being a teenager. I know how much they don’t know. But one company thought they’d give it a try.

One of the board members is Shaina Shah,14, who lives in London. She is passionate about the environment, and wants to protect her world for future generations.

“I think adults can think about money first,” she says. “They don’t always choose the most sustainable option.”

Unless you think about the money, the rest of it is a waste of time. The whole purpose is to create a profit. Without that, don’t bother because it will go bust.

“[But] young people have grown up in a world where the effects of climate change are clearly visible.”

This, people, is the result of decades of scaremongering and propaganda. Climate changes. It always has changed. It always will change. Also, in geological terms, the last ice age wasn’t so long ago, so we are still in a warming period. But, yeah, a know-nothing teeenager is the person to tell us how to run the show. We are possessed by the cult of youth.

FFS!

Green Energy says that, so far, the advisory board has helped it review its diversity and inclusion strategy…

Christ almighty. We are doomed. The only diversity and inclusion policy should be recruitment and promotion on the basis of competence and nothing else.

  1. Yes, you’re right again. We’re leaving the world to generations who have been softened up by wokeism, state dependency and instant gratification. They’ll be a pushover for the PTB when they introduce the next panicdemic, “emergency” or other lies.

  2. To be fair, even that level of ignorance isn’t that much worse than the idiots that we have in charge now.

  3. Tut, tut. The Beeb aught to know that this thing is racist.
Expecting so many words in a single essay? Lots of them different words. Clearly discriminatory. How can you express rapp in an essay?
Just compare that picture with the cast of any of Aunty’s dramas.
Where are the future Lammys and Flabbots?

  4. The BBC don’t know their subjunctives. It should be, “Would the world be better if it *were* run by teenagers?”. And no, the world wouldn’t be better.

As Morse once said to Lewis, “you’ll never get on if you can’t master your subjunctives.”
