Oh, My, Mr Pot is at it Again

This time it’s Johnson, the blob.

Boris Johnson has accused anti-vaccine campaigners of speaking “mumbo jumbo” when it comes to coronavirus jabs.

The prime minister said those spreading false information on social media were “totally wrong” and it was time for him “to call them out”.

They really aren’t letting up, are they? My refusal isn’t to do with any misinformation – it is an experimental procedure (fact) and we do not have long term data on possible risks (fact) we do have some data on short term risks (fact).

Given the facts, I am declining. My body, my choice and BoJo can stick it where the sun don’t shine. The harder they try, the more I dig my heels in.

Bear in mind that this is coming for one of the arseholes who tell us that wearing a piece of cloth across our face will help – no evidence whatsoever to support the assertion, or that constantly testing asymptomatic people is a useful thing to do – resulting in a massive rise in ‘cases’ that has no bearing on whether people are ill. This is the man heading a government that has cherry picked data to suit a narrative and deliberately misled people into believing that this thing is more dangerous than it is. The only misinformation I see comes from the government, SAGE and the media.

Why would I take any notice of such a man?

  1. Depends on the mask. Surgical masks reduce the risk of you spreading it to someone else. If the other guy wears one, then it protects you from him. Ordinary cloth masks are next to useless.

It’s your body and up to you if you have a jab. However 2/3rds of patients with Covid in ICU beds are unvaccinated.

And let’s face is the anti-vaxxers who spread crap and lies about Covid (e.g Novak’s wife posts that Covid is spread via 5G) are talking mumbo jumbo.

Your body your choice. I fully support your right to your opinion. I’ve had 3 myself so I think we differ in our opinions, but that’s fine.

Frightening others into not having the jab is criminal in my view – and I’m not suggesting you’re doing this – but there are plenty of people who are. Piers Corbyn comes to mind. And that rabble that junked a lot of vax stuff the other day are dangerous loonies who really do want to enforce their view on you – and that’s definitely not right. They should be prosecuted IMHO…

    • “Surgical masks reduce the risk of you spreading it to someone else”.

After 2 years, there are still people who believe that. The loonies in charge have wasted 100s of billions of our money, destroyed countless lives and are directly responsible for 100s of 1000 of deaths by refusing to provide early treatment, yet have failed to finance even 1 study to demonstrate that masks work.

      Your cognitive dissonance is noted.

          • My respiratory consultant told me not to wear a mask due to my lung condition as it would put me at risk of severe infection when it got damp and would reduce my oxygen levels.

    • Dear Dioclese

The necessity of wearing masks in a clinical setting have been the subject of debate for a long time. I read of a trial where the infection rates of surgical procedures without masks were compared with those with masks: there was a 1% difference in favour of without masks.

About 13.4% of England’s population are over 70, 160,000 out of 1.2 million in Mr Longrider’s area. Amongst that group there are those who are deemed too ill to receive the injection due to known side effects. If that group represented 1% – 1,600 – of whom some will likely be in an ICU. There may also be a few from the under 70’s.

It is entirely possible that all the uninjected in the 40 ICU beds are seriously ill elderly and not so elderly. A victim of a road traffic accident who is uninjected would also qualify.

Raising questions about the safety and efficacy of a novel and untested treatment does not constitute ‘frightening’ in my opinion. I see more ‘frightening’ being done by government and the media to coerce people into being injected, and more coercion from those who demand that employees, visitors, customers et al be injected or lose their jobs, visiting rights or being denied service. Elswhere governments are making the injections mandatory. Ireland has started injecting 5-11 year olds: that is an abomination and a crime against humanity.

If people have caused property damage, they are entitled to be prosecuted.

    • “And let’s face is the anti-vaxxers who spread crap and lies about Covid”

Pray tell, oh wise one, how you know that –

      a – these people are ANTI-vaxxers,
      and
b – its crap and lies.

Do you dispute the fact that an unusual number of fit, young athletes are keeling over and dying on the pitch just after the jab?

Do you dispute the fact that just about every scientist and doctor of note who has spoken out about these so called vaccines has been cancelled and in some cases ‘suicided’?

  2. It’s your body and up to you if you have a jab. However 2/3rds of patients with Covid in ICU beds are unvaccinated.

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, this is a meaningless statement without context. In Bristol, that amounts to around 40 people out of a population of 1.2 million, so a tiny amount. These statements are exaggerating the risk. In the winter season 2017/18 for example, over 50,000 people died, primarily from seasonal flu, this is normal. Covid is merely a new type of seasonal respiratory disease that we need to live with and the vaccination should only be offered to those most at risk as with seasonal flu. Sure, if you are older and in a high risk category, I would advise taking the vaccine as that is the lesser risk (and, to be candid, here, long term risk isn’t really an issue). However, this pressure to vaccinate the whole population is unnecessary and downright irresponsible while we have a vaccine that is still experimental. Vaccinating children is criminal, frankly.

    • As an addendum to this, the 5G crowd are a bloody nuisance as they allow the blob to simply tar us all with the same brush. Also, reasoning with them is a strange other worldly experience as I discovered when talking to a sister in law who absolutely believes it. But, she’s a scientologist…

      • Agree. The 5G crowd are insane – talk to them and it’s not long before all the other nonsense comes out: 9/11, moon landings, flat earth, ‘terrain theory’, etc. As I’ve said before, though, while ‘our’ loonies are howling impotently at the moon, ‘their’ loonies are running the country. It shouldn’t be hard to decide which group presents the greater threat.

        • Though I have to agree with you about the lunacy, I’m also mindful that there are some things that the average guy in the street will fail to comprehend, and that is the beginning of the conspiracy theory. So I can see at least, where these things originate from.

I have an interest in this subject. No, I don’t believe that 5G causes covid, that’s ridiculous. But after being into hobbyist electronics since the early 70s and knowing what I do about radio frequencies, it is obvious to me that they can be harmful to people. How much so I don’t know but the 5G band contains frequencies many times that of, say, a microwave oven. Radio waves at resonant frequencies can cause certain molecules in one’s body to vibrate and even at low powers such as 5G, lead to things like headaches and other symptoms of illness. This has been well documented in the past with mobile phones.

          • My discussion with my sister in law was somewhat bizarre and I suspect that like similar minded folk, she really doesn’t understand the difference between electromagnetism and a biological pathogen. You are correct that electromagnetism in the right concentration can be harmful to biological organisms, but spreading pathogens is so far off the scale I wonder just how credulous you have to be to believe it. Then, my sister in law. Nice woman, but… But she did sign up to the Sea Org for sixty trillion years…

          • Ripper, as you say, this has been known for some years – ‘Havana Syndrome’: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havana_syndrome.

In all probability, likely nothing to do with covid, but when people see things going on and decisions being made by TPTB which make no sense, people are going to consider reasons beyond the rational. This doesn’t mean they are wrong though………

    • Also the ‘Double-jabbed-but-no-booster’ are now classed as “Unvaccinated”.
Thus the number of people ‘Unvaccinated’ is highly increased

The usual Smoke and Mirrors trick.

  3. “However 2/3rds of patients with Covid in ICU beds are unvaccinated.”

I genuinely don’t know the answer to this, but does this figure include anyone unvaccinated who is admitted to ICU for an issue unrelated to covid (a car crash victim say) but who has tested positive for covid once admitted to hospital? Are ‘people in ICU with covid’ people who have just tested positive, or is it clinical covid cases only?

    • Do they mean unvaccinated or unboosted?

      It’s difficult to keep up.

I thought the newspeak dictionary was supposed to get thinner with each new edition?

  4. Addolff I think you just said it better than I could, when rational people are in an irrational situation there is an urgency to join dots to make sense of it. I hadn’t previously heard of the Havana Syndrome, the people I had in mind were those, for example, who live close to high voltage power wires or phone masts and suffer with things like migraine, disorientation, problems with sleep and nausea.

There was also an incident last year between Indian and Chinese armies on the border, where the Chinese used some kind of either microwave or ultrasound weapon, killing 20 Indian soldiers.
