Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended from a US talk show after saying the Holocaust involved “two groups of white people”.
ABC News said Goldberg would be off-air for two weeks after her “wrong and hurtful comments”.
She is a victim of the same identity politics that she has been willing to champion. No one, not even their own are immune. So, yeah, tough, I won’t be shedding any tears for this identitarian racist. Apparently she ‘misspoke’ which is the usual weaselly wriggling that actually means ‘I got caught.’
Yes, of course – free speech and all that. However, live by the sword, die by it. I’m not saying that she should be cancelled, just pointing out that I am unconcerned that her own side is doing so. As they like to say – words have consequences.
Again, my sympathy is limited and I’ll be getting in contact with Julia to borrow one of her tiny violins.

She is an actress. Their lives are pretending to be something they are not. They use scripts written by other people and act it out. That is why it is called acting.
I find it strange that others can’t see that simple fact and that actors opinions are so revered. You can respect her ability to lie and pretend to be something she is not as it is prized, politicians, spit, also have the same skillset and there is a fine line between them and actors. Then you also have the real person behind the mask who usually is something completely different.
So Whoopi was good in whatever, Whoopi is a terrible human being. Both can be true.
The problem is, you don’t normally think about the real person when watching good acting. Now when I see her in Star Trek I’ll be thinking, she’s a dick, not about the character I’m watching.
Considering the Jewish influence in Hollywood she might never work again, serves her right. There really is a nasty streak streak of anti-semitism amongst a lot of black people.

World war two was mainly fought between two groups of white people wasn’t it? The victims of the holocaust were mainly Jews who vary in complexion quite a bit. There were also Gypsies and various people with disabilities that were targets of the Nazi racial purity obsessives. I’m not quite sure what her point is. If she is trying to absolve black people from the sin of genocide she is on very shaky ground.
Was Idi Amin’s expulsion of Asians from Uganda an example of black racism?
Possibly not – I thought that he hated the fact that the Asians were successful in business and the Ugandans less so.
Also, Mugabe style, he screwed up the agricultural system to the extent that a country which had been self sufficient became dependant on food-aid delivered via Kenya.

Having read some more of the quote it seems to me that, what she seemed to be trying to say was that people didn’t need actual racial differences to treat each other badly, they will do it anyway. That seems to me to be a fairly reasonable point. Of course we all know that there are people who will misunderstand her on purpose if it means that they can get outraged.
Indeed. I got her point, but have no sympathy for her plight. It’s a hole she dug for herself.

There is a rumour that she’s actually been sacked and that the 2 week suspension is just some face saving bullshit from the network.
