They Won’t Let Go

I am reminded of the victims of romance scams who cannot let go of the fictitious lover they never met. Despite being conned and despite having realised this, they are emotionally tied to the fiction, for to admit it would be to acknowledge that they were taken for a fool. Likewise, it is with the covid obsessed ‘scientists’ and the media. They have invested so much in the false narrative that they cannot prize their fingers off and let go, for to do so would expose them for the liars, charlatans and gaslighting scum that they are.

Ministers’ plans to scale back free PCR Covid tests could weaken the UK’s defences if a new variant of the virus emerges that results in “significant new waves” of cases, a group representing local public health chiefs has warned.

The rational answer to this is, ‘so what?’ After all, this is a coronavirus and new variants is what happens with this bug. We don’t test for flu. If you get it, you take to your bed, drink plenty of fluids and take paracetamol. Likewise with the latest covid variants.

Grow up, get over it.

If we hadn’t had this obsession with testing this past couple of years, much of the panic wouldn’t have happened, because many of those who tested positive didn’t get sick anyway, so we had all these ‘cases’ that were nothing of the sort. This disease did what all its forebears did. It came in with a bang and went out with a whimper, following the predictable gompertz curve that was all but identical in all countries across the globe regardless of the measures they put in place.

So, evidence, reason, logic and common sense tells us what it was telling us two years ago.

Grow up, get over it.

Sure, vaccinate if you wish, but leave those of us who chose not to, alone.

Grow up, get over it.

Oh, and as public heath chiefs, so called ‘scientists’ and the journalists peddling this narrative have all been shown to be nothing more than lying charlatans, the correct response is to ignore them – cross the street if necessary. That’s if we aren’t allowed to lynch the bastards and string them up from the nearest lamp post, which is what they deserve.

Before a meeting of cabinet ministers and the prime minister later this week to discuss the “learning to live with Covid” strategy, the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) said that forcing people to pay for lateral flow tests would also have a “detrimental impact” on take-up, particularly among disadvantaged communities.

I’d regard that as a positive feature, not a bug.

The group said that despite the government being expected to roll back the last remaining Covid laws from next week, coronavirus was “yet to become endemic”, and added it was “difficult to predict when this state may be attained”.

It was attained sometime around June 2020.

“Significant levels of cases, hospitalisations and deaths continue to disrupt and devastate individuals, public services and the economy,” a briefing note said. “There remains a degree of unpredictability about the course ahead.”

They can’t help themselves, can they? This winter has been pretty normal for winter deaths. Indeed, covid deaths are plummeting even going by their own figures. Everyone can see the situation for what it is, yet still these idiots are pressing the panic button for all they are worth. Like the functioning alcoholic, they look at the cupboard with just one last bottle in the far corner and with a trembling hand, they are reaching out for it. Just the one and then we are done, just one more… And one more…

  1. I think a lot of ‘officials’ have felt ‘important’ and ‘needed’ for the only time in their lives and they simply don’t want it to end… bit sad really

  2. “They have invested so much in the false narrative that they cannot prize their fingers off and let go, for to do so would expose them for the liars, charlatans and gaslighting scum that they are.”

But they have made their image into ‘Super Vigilant Man’ (or Woman), besties with the Elite, and able to exert their authority over the Rude Mechanicals, and they like it.

Years ago I worked in the part of an organisation that carried out ‘Post Audits’ after contracts were completed to learn lessons and make sure future contacts were adjudicated more thoroughly when they were let. I believe we need an Epidemic Post Audit – we now have enough data to draw firm conclusions about the quality and accuracy of advice given. And if people are reluctant to contribute then it should be a Royal Commission, given all the authority and resources to reach a speedy ser of conclusions. And no bending of the Terms of Reference to exclude anyone.

  3. There seem to be so many parallels with the climate change nonsense here. The amount of money, effort and resourses that have been sunk into fighting this non existent problem means that it now can never be admitted that the “science” behind it is wrong. I don’t see anyone being held to account over the Covid or climate scaremongering because the government, their hangers on, and the media are all on the same side. Who is going to investigate their malfeasance? The mainstream media can’t, they were up to their necks in it themselves when it came to stirring up the panic.

    • Spot on and WEF and their paid stooges are pushing for ‘Climate Lockdowns”

Re Canada: have you all noticed their is no mention of Covid in all the political & msm vitriol against the Freedom campaign?

    • It only took about a year to 18 months to go from “the virus is almost certainly perfectly natural” to “the virus is almost certainly man made”. “Climate change is certainly man made” has already been around for over 20 years, I wonder how long it will take for that narrative to change.

  4. The Beeb is putting out daily commercials for giving the jab to 5-11 year olds. Every one features an oh so well scripted ‘professor’ bigging up the benefits and lying his socks off about the harm/benefit balance. Advise those you love not to be fooled. I did. I wasn’t heeded – their decision, but I did my best.

  5. Perhaps the scientists and journalists are suffering from excessive narcissism. The definition of Narcissism includes:

    Grandiose sense of self-importance:
    – Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
    – The belief they are special and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people or institutions
    – Need for excessive admiration
    – Sense of entitlement
    – Interpersonally exploitative behaviour
    – Lack of empathy
    – Envy of others or a belief that others are envious of them
    – Demonstration of arrogant and haughty behaviours or attitudes

Those who would control us cannot believe that other peoples’ views have any worth because they don’t align with theirs.

Could explain the Arch Remainers too.
