  1. Lets see how many 14 year olds with beards and hairy chests Sunak allows into his daughters bedroom before I decide.

  2. I really don’t think the government (or the opposition) realise how angry the average person is about this daily invasion by the dinghy scum. They only listen to the liberal idiots on twitter who think it’s great.

  3. Hi LR,I have problems accessing your blog at times. I usually go through GD’s blog, but have also tried through internet.
It actually turns my, connection off.
Just thought I’d say, used to be computer savvy, not so much now.

    • I still use the late Captain Ranty’s blogroll
      https://captainranty.blogspot.com/
and click on the links for here and some other blogs i regularly read, might be worth a try for you.

As for taking invaders in, didn’t there used to be serious punishmnets for those who offered comfort and succour to such as illegally invaded these lands.
A colleague had no end of trouble with a Ukrainian woman who gradually took over their home, more fool them and bigger fool anyone who allows illegal immigrants in.

Does no one see the irony of a our pointless politicians talking tough to Mr Putin (from several thousand miles) when they themselves order our border farces to assist an invasion over our very own moat.
Our politicians are a sad no longer funny joke, they should all resign and retire to their studies with a glass of brandy then do the decent thing.

    • Posted a message again, mainly aimed at innocentbystander didn’t get through, i’ve been putting the link to the late Captain Ranty’s blog in the message, maybe it doesn’t like the linky.
I still use the Capn’s blogroll to click on this and other valuable blogs, might be worth a try.

      • seems like the link was the issue for my posting.
for anyone else struggling just tried a standard search for longrider (Firefox/duckduckgo) and came straight here.

    • And yours too on and off Julia. I saw a Cloudflare error screen a few times, but I think the problem is bigger. Sometimes it worked through my phone (4g but same company). It’s been intermittent like that since about Thursday (I spend about 10 hours a day online).

      • I’m getting a Cloudflare “reviewing the security of your connection”* screen at David’s, but it just keeps reloading.

*Which is a lie. If it’s SSL, the connection (as far as TCP/IP is a “connection”) is secure. I think it’s checking for botnets. And making a pig’s ear of it.

        • Aha. I use an extension that changes the user-agent string randomly (to defend against browser fingerprinting), and turning that off let me in. I guess checking that the user-agent is always the same on each request would be a way of detecting botnets, so that kind of makes sense.

          Pain in the arse, though.

          • Argh. I can read the site now, but can’t post comments.

Remember when the Web used to… you know… work?

    • David’s blog still out, and Mick Hartley’s. Says ‘Server not available’ or ‘Error 503 Service Unavailable

      Service Unavailable

  4. For the price of what is allegedly paid to smugglers, the migrants could likely get a NVQ3 equivalent in adult social care in their home country and then come to the UK on a work permit stamped NRTPF.
Care home situation solved. They can take a room as a live-in employee.

  5. I saw this over at Tim Worstal’s blog, from Bloke In Wales:

“In fact, I’m struggling to think of any government ministry that works for the benefit of the British population: the Health department inflicts the NHS upon us; the Education department prevents the education of our children to any useful standard; the Business department is 100% against any business that isn’t a foreign multinational behemoth; the Transport department concentrates on making sure we have no personal transport; etc.
Perhaps Defence could present a credible case? But to convince me then they’d have to defend us against the rest of the government.

Has there ever been a government as completely out of touch with the electorate as this one? Property rights are essential to having a functioning economy. Once you have relinquished property rights there is no longer any point in working or doing anything productive. Why bother if the government can just arbitrarily take your hard earned stuff and hand it over to someone else?

  6. Watching the steady stream of illegals being given hotels and not turned away makes me want the war that’s brewing with Russia to finally kick off.*
(They’re accusing us of blowing up NordStream, which as an attack on infrastructure could be construed as an act of war… Rus v UK coming soon? And if they somehow prove its us, doesn’t that negate article 5… )
Maybe the flow of migrants will turn round and they’ll start leaving when London is being carpet bombed by bears and backfires every night?
Or maybe they will demonstrate how much they all really want to be British and will be signing up to the Army in droves… (Stop laughing)

*It doesn’t really. I’m allergic to being vaporised in a nuclear fireball. It’s hyperbole.
