EU commissioner Thierry Breton made the threat to Musk on Wednesday during a video meeting, wherein she said that Musk must adhere to a checklist of rules. This includes ditching an “arbitrary” approach to reinstating banned users and “aggressively” fighting off so-called disinformation, reports the Financial Times.
We all know what these arseholes mean by disinformation – it means daring to challenge the propaganda.
Musk was told that he must abide by those rules or he would be infringing on the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA), which sets standards on how big tech sites moderate their content. Breton said that Twitter could face a Europe-wide ban or fines if the criteria are not met.
Twitter is US based. It is under no obligation to abide by tyrannical rules created by the Fourth Reich. Unfortunately…
Musk said that the DSA was “very sensible” and said that he believed the legislation was legitimate.
Wrong answer. The EU is like a shark once it has smelled blood, and this is spilled blood. They have no legitimacy and none should be granted to them. As I said, the only appropriate response to their mafia tactics is ‘fuck off, matey.’
Is he just telling them what they want to hear? He could then just do what he was going to do anyway and call their bluff. The various seats of power are really terrified of what the proles might say about them online aren’t they? It’s as if they have something to hide.
