It seems that we do have a government minister with balls after all – and it’s a woman.
Suella Braverman has said she will not apologise for her language after a Holocaust survivor told the home secretary her description of migrants as an “invasion” was akin to rhetoric the Nazis used to justify murdering her family.
She is objectively correct, it is an invasion and likening her words to the Nazis is tiresome, so no apology is necessary and it’s nice to see someone finally stand up to this hard-of-thinking bullshit.
“When I hear you using words against refugees like ‘swarms’ and an ‘invasion’, I am reminded of the language used to dehumanise and justify the murder of my family and millions of others.
“Why do you find the need to use that kind of language?”
Because they are not refugees, they are illegal migrants. If they were genuine refugees, they could come across the channel on a ferry for a fraction of what they paid the smuggling gangs and make their case at the border when they arrive. They choose not to. They are invariably coming from countries that are not at war. They are illegal migrants who are embarking on an invasion – because that is what it is and Braverman is merely speaking the truth.
Now all she has to do is stop the bloody invasion.
It’s much easier to have an army of cretinous goons checking passports of people at the ferry or eurotunnel in Calais, wasting our time for no result, than actually doing something about those dinghies. They could get their uniforms wet.
It’s a border farce. That we pay for.
I believe that, in the US they have been bussing illegal immigrants into the posh areas where the politicians live so that those politicians get a taste of the consequences of their inaction.
We need to see that over here.
We should be grateful that all these people want to come here.
When we end up in a shooting war with Russia, (we’re sending the Ukies tanks now…) All these people will be clamouring to join up and defend the country, putting life and limb on the line to defend our way of life… Right?
Er… right. Maybe they will be clamouring to escape to Africa. You never know.
On the subject of tanks. I saw that one. I wonder just how far it will go before Russia decides that the line has been crossed.
They get sent back after a short period of time. Nothing to see here.
Not short enough.
They mainly stay in hotels. A brave few venture out into the town. They’re soldiers from African countries. They’re only here a week. The African governments pay for putting them up. Eventually they stop sending their soldiers.
Not too long after, the Indians and Chinese were sent back to their respective countries.
“Just because you are offended doesn’t mean that I am factually wrong” would be my response.
