Skid Row

So my MP has resigned.

Conservative Chris Skidmore is quitting as an MP over the government’s energy plans, triggering a by-election to replace him.

The former minister said he could not continue as a Tory MP ahead of a vote on a bill on Monday to guarantee annual oil and gas licensing rounds.

The Kingswood MP added his “personal decision” meant his constituents deserved the chance to elect a new MP.

The man is an embarrassment. Frankly, I’m glad to see him go. He has embraced everything that is awful about the new blue Labour. We got rid of Roger Berry hoping for a Conservative and got Skid Row instead. So good riddance to bad rubbish. Looks like I’ll have an opportunity to give Reform a punt earlier than the rest of you.

The seat has swung between both the Tories and Labour during my time here. It was held by the Tories up until 1992, then swung back in 2010, so this could go any way.

  1. I doubt very much the Tories will take the seat, they’ve become unelectable.

I dread to think what bullshit PM Starmer will inflict on us.

      • Even if the Tory wins in your constituency, it’s most probable it will be an Establishment ‘Conservative in name only’.

So, Mr L, you’re screwed in your constituency, just as all the rest of us are screwed in ours. It seems to be impossible to elect an MP who isn’t an Establishment waste of space who believes in all the bollocks of Net Zero, transsexuality, etc.

  2. I am 61 years old, I need a question answered, when did I have/was given any choice to follow this lunacy? When was it agreed that I could be forced from birth to adhere to a control I had no conception, knowledge or understanding of.” It’s a Democracy” is cast about willy nilly, as an excuse, a soppy platitude that has no real meaning. “Your vote counts, your vote matters”, but, it doesn’t, it never has. So i am sorry, I refuse to engage, refuse to “follow their rules” and their laws, that I have no chance of changing and or altering. All is imposed by them, with threats, I was taught at school many years ago, that the use of force to to gain adherence to said laws was nothing more than tyranny, then I refuse to comply! I cannot follow, support adhere to any laws, that restrict my fellow mans belief’s or rights, but then I cannot be beholden to abide by any other mans beliefs. As such I have chosen to walkaway, to have no contact or intersection, (laws that are commonsensical and prevent harm, societal, metal) I will follow wholeheartedly, but those that ask me to accept the religion or belief of “woke, climate change, one world govt etc, leads me to the conclusion, I MUST defend me and mine!
