Much Ado About Nothing

I really don’t get what all the fuss is about.

The Queen arrived at the London Clinic to visit King Charles, who remains in the hospital following his enlarged prostate procedure.

Wife visits husband while he is in hospital following minor surgery. Yes? And? So? I’m presuming that he had the TURP procedure. Been there, done that. It’s painless and you sit in hospital for 48 hours before recovering fully at home.  I was off work for about three weeks. Then back to normal. It’s a minor procedure. It makes a huge difference to quality of life and men are going through it across the country without any fuss. Yet we have had wall to wall coverage over Jug Ears having it. Give it a reast already.

  1. Maybe the issue is that Charles already had one foot in the grave by the time he finally got to be King. So any time he goes into hospital, even for something supposedly routine, is made out to be a big deal.

  2. It is of interest because he is Head of State. What I am fed up of is the coverage of Derek Draper / Kate Garraway. I bear him / her no ill will and he had a long illness but he has been dead a week and in the Daily Mail, “Grieving Kate Garraway puts on a brave face to meet a friend as she is seen for first time since husband Derek Draper’s death”.
