Er, No, She Didn’t

J K Rowling is at it again.

JK Rowling purposefully misgendered Loose Women star India Willoughby in yet another Twitter spat about trans rights.

India Willoughby is a bloke. A particularly nasty one at that. So pointing out that he’s a bloke is not misgendering.

In her latest offensive rants, Rowling said India was “cosplaying a misogynistic male fantasy of what a woman is”. Rowling took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to rant about trans women using female locker rooms. She said on Sunday: “When men – all men, however they identify – are banned from women’s spaces, those who disregard the ban can be challenged, inside the space and out.”

If anyone is offended by this, then they need to be offended good and hard on a regular basis until they get used to the idea of truth and reality. India Willoughby may wish to cosplay being a woman. That’s his choice, He has no right whatsoever to force others to play along. It’s also worth mentioning here that Rowling hits the nail on the head about what these blokes are doing – they are fantasising about what they imagine a woman to be, not what a woman actually is.

India caught wind of the vile rant and tweeted: “Genuinely disgusted by this. Grotesque transphobia, which is upsetting. I am every bit as much a woman as JK Rowling. Recognised in law, and by everyone I interact with every day. The debate about whether JK Rowling is a transphobe is over.”

Real women don’t need to be ‘recognised in law’ as woman, they are women. And, no Willoughby is not a woman and never will be a woman. Biology says so and biology is above the law. Rowling, on the other hand, is.

Interestingly, the Mirror isn’t allowing comments on this one. I wonder why.

  1. The first incident like this that I remember was when women successfully demanded to be allowed into the men’s locker room to interview the footballers after the match.

Alas this led to the argument that’s what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

However, being a white haired old bastard, I naturally agree with Rowling’s argument. I’d ban women from the mens, and vice versa.

    • It all started when feminazis (let’s pick an antipodean one for example – Germaine Greer) demanded that equality was above all else.
Logical outcome is that (biological) women now face the same daily working grind as men and that they have to let men into their “spaces”.
Hard to feel much sympathy for them.

      • Spot on – whilst I despise the likes of Willoughby and would gladly fund her being airlifted into the front line in Gaza, the feminists who insisted men can’t have ‘men only’ spaces like Private Clubs set the precedent. You reap what you sow

  2. I do wish that people who write for a living would note the difference between “purposefully” and deliberately”.

    • The little grammar nazi in me is upset that I didn’t see that before reading your post.

  3. Recognised in law, and by everyone I interact with every day

In law, yes. By everyone? The delusion is strong.
Some people may think it’s a woman. Most are just being polite or are afraid of the lawfare and social media dogpiling.

  4. First I came across anything like this was 2002, I was working in an elderly care home, normally only women staff so only one changing room. We were told Jo was a boy turning into a woman and treat him as her. We thought it odd but went along with it. The only thing was no one used the changing room other than leaving their coats and handbags in there, before they would get ready at end of shift for nights on the town. Also Jo let the man in her show when she talked when angry about things. Everywhere I’ve worked since has just had lockers in corridors.

  5. I still don’t understand why these tranny types don’t behave like lady boys in Thailand.
Lady boys are quite well tolerated over there.
But then, they are open about having a dick and not being a proper woman.
Maybe the loons here could learn a thing or two.

  6. And now it seems he’s bitten off more than he can chew, as Rowling has announced she will take action for defamation and stalking.

‘I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant’ indeed.
