Despite Darren Brown’s obvious and blatant lie, and despite everyone calling him out (although the BBC seems very quiet), he is doubling down.
Nigel Farage and Reform have been rumbled.
They promise you everything you could wish for, but have no idea how.
False promises. Populist nonsense.
Ask them this simple question every time: how?
They hate it. pic.twitter.com/fFGWZOmQrF

No, you vile piece of shit. You lied on national television. Having told such a lie means nothing you say can be taken as fact. Lying isn’t rumbling anyone. As for how, close down wasteful government department, cancel net zero, sack the think tanks and quangos, and cease all third sector spending. I could go on.
“As for how, close down wasteful government department, cancel net zero, sack the think tanks and quangos, and cease all third sector spending.”
I don’t know how the current set of politicians are going to square AI datacentres consuming massive amounts of power with the ideals of Net Zero, but then they should remember that they chose these principles in the first place.
“We’re going to be an AI superpower.”
uh huh. Riiiight.
US. China. Russia. Probably others. all already throwing masses of resources at this because in all likelihood it’ll give a great advantage, like nukes, to whoever cracks it. Publicly available AI can do some amazing things, though it isn’t the silver bullet politicians think, but then that’s what’s free to use on t’internets. no doubt the stuff in secret labs is much much better.
meanwhile here in the UK, we can barely keep the lights on and haven’t even started building a data centre, because the energy is too expensive.
superpower my arse.
