You’re Joshing me, Right?

You have got to be kidding me.

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown is to take on an advisory role at the World Economic Forum.

Truly, the lunatics are now running the asylum. Just as well it is unpaid –  that way no one has to ask for their money back,

Still, it could be worse.

There had been speculation he could become the next head of the International Monetary Fund.

Ye gods!

But David Cameron argued Mr Brown may not be the “best person” to head the global finance watchdog.

Really? Nice to see that the art of understatement hasn’t been entirely lost.

  1. Perhaps as one who is an expert on the gold market he’s being brought in to deal with the escalating price of gold. You know, let it be known well in advance that he’s going to flood the market with tons of gold reserves so as to get the minimum price for it and then sit back and watch as the price inexorably rises again. He’s a class act.

  2. I think having Gordon Brown on the WEF is a terrific idea.

You just listen to what he says and then do completely the opposite. Simples.

  3. Have the people of Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath got a new MP then? I hadn’t heard that Broon had resigned his seat…

  4. I rather like John’s suggestion… 🙂

And I rather think the voters of Kirkaldy & Cowdenbeath must be pretty used to having an absentee MP by now. More fool them for voting for him again…

  5. But hang about, when Brown was cutting regulation on the financial markets, Tories and libertarians were arguing that he hadn’t gone far enough! It’s a bit rich to start attacking him now for policies that a few years ago you’d have approved of.
