Islam is not a race and Dawkins is right to point it out, despite the ire of the Guardianista.
After I wrote about Richard Dawkins’s snide attack on the supposed dearth of Muslim scientific and cultural achievement, some critics hit back along these lines. It is acceptable to criticise and belittle Islam because it is a religion, not an ethnic grouping – and therefore fair game.
And they are absolutely correct. Islam is a cult, not a race and as such it most definitely is fair game. The absurdity of the belief system and the vile control freakery of its practitioners should be regularly and vigorously countered, pointing out that absurdity, the misogyny and the hair trigger offence taking at any slight, actual or perceived. Indeed, those who take offence at their daft beliefs being ridiculed are in need of regular ridicule so that they get used to the idea.
Technically, they are right – Islam is not a race. But too often, those who deploy the argument, are borrowing from the Bill Clinton school of sophistry: “I did not have racist relations with that religion”.
I’ve read some claptrap in my time, but that’s right up there with the best of them. There is no “technically” about it. Islam is not a race and it most definitely is fair game and criticising it and its followers is not bigotry and there is no racism involved. It is a vile, brutal, misogynistic, primitive, dark ages belief system that is at odds with a modern pluralistic society. That it still survives says much about mankind’s willingness to cling to medieval superstitious nonsense.
So clearly, in that sense, Islam is not a race, but Muslims are.
No, they are not. Muslims come from a range of racial groups, including Caucasian.

There is actually quite a strong racial dimension to Islamophobia.
Okay, we can stop right there. There is no such thing as Islamophobia. This is nothing more than an artificial construct designed by the leftists to shut down dissent. A phobia is an irrational fear or loathing. Given the nature of Islam, dislike – even a fierce dislike – is perfectly rational. It is not, therefore a phobia.
Frankly, as soon as someone wheels out the charge of Islamophobia, they’ve lost that argument as far as I am concerned. I loathe and detest Islam with every fibre of my being. It is not by any stretch of the imagination, a phobia. It is rational and evidence based. I understand perfectly what Islam is, what it represents and what its adherents wish to achieve – it’s right there in the word, “Islam”. Submission. Says it all. Well, I don’t submit and never will.
Dawkins is wrong.
Algebra etc. are NOT Islamic achievements, they don’t derive from page 55 of the Koran. That the earliest practitioners were Muslim is as irrelevant as Newton being a Christian.
It does occur to me that sitting on a giant blackboard with clear horizons and skies and nothing much to do at night it is hardly surprising that astronomy and mathematics might have made advances in Arabia. It would have been pretty hard to do as much in hilly, tree-covered Europe with its cloudy skies.
Where Dawkins is right was revealing the child abuse of the ‘Muslim’ schoolgirls who even refused to carry out the salt water/fresh water miscibility experiment because the ‘truth’ was written in the Koran. And we are just concerned that some doctors and nurses might cover their faces – what on earth is going on in their minds?
I WISH I had “saved” it, but I read an article somewhere proing that the actual mathematical knowledge was SECONDARY to the sand niggers. It was the INDIANS that did all the work and it was stolen by the camel shaggers and used as their own.
A bit like them trying to say that Turks rebuilt Germany after WWII. NO you fucking did NOT!
I think the problem here is that Islam has attained an almost entire identity for many millions of people. It’s as much an identity as being British or black is for some other people. So to them, people attacking that religio-political-cultural-whatever identity is akin to racism, such is the hold that it has on them.
Dawkins is right, mind you.
The word ‘Islamophobia’ did not come from the left-wing.
The term was actually promoted by the Ikhwan, beginning in the 1990s.
Islamophobia is a word that has only recently been introduced into the vocabulary, it is a made up modern word , probably first introduced by some leftie loon.
I am so tired and bored of this “Racism” against Muslim rubbish, Islam is NOT a race it’s a religious sect, like Scientology, the moonies etc and look at the shit they get.
The trouble is that Islam is nasty, vile, abusive, misogynistic, hypocritical and delusional, the reason it flourishes is because 90% of the followers are illiterate world wide and reliant on bias taught to them by extremist imams. Thats why they have their own schools and shut themselves outside of the society they purport to want to integrate into.
It is indicative of the two facedness of Islam the Quorn book of satan teaches them it is okay to lie to Kafirs (thats us) in the name of religion and the furthering of Islam.
The quorn book is littered with inconsistencies and lies, and they perpetuate their peaceful myth with the lies and more lies.
Anytime they are taken to task by people who are outside the cult (people who have studied the Quorn book and know their onions) and these inconsistencies are pointed out to them they run to the racism argument and tarnish and grubby peoples reputations because they can not deny the lies they tell.
Thats why they like to keep so many of the followers in literacy ignorance, if they can read they may be able to decipher the ancient myths laid down over the centuries in the Hadith’s which had nothing to do with MooHamed or Allah.
Basically it’s one of the biggest lies ever told, up there with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and any other fairy tale you care to name.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter where the word originates – the crucial point is, there is no such thing and we need to keep saying that very forcefully.

I like this post immensely. it is absolutely correct. You have to challenge Muslims as they live their lives by Islam. It is a way of doing everything in life, not just a book of prayers and rituals. A manual for life. And for taking life. That proves it ain’t divine in any way.
