Our political leaders repeatedly fail to grasp this. Islam is a violent ideology of oppression. It’s how it swept the Arabian peninsular in the first place. Mohammed was a nasty, violent, brutal warlord who used his made-up religion as a tool for gaining power. He declared war on everyone who was not a follower. That war is ongoing.
Today, the battlefield is France. Unless this fact is grasped, it will go on. And on. Today, my heart is again in France, my spiritual home.
Islam is the problem. Islam was always the problem. Anyone who claims that this brutal ideology is a religion of peace is either deluded or a liar.
Meanwhile our fucking government and civil service want to spy on our internet browsing habits. Talk about fiddling while Rome fucking burns.

I think the French response will indeed be swift, as Hollande has now recognised this is a war. The U.K. & US, I’m not so sure about.

I can’t believe that Cameron “is shocked” by this atrocity. The rest of us have been saying for over a decade that this is inevitable. If he and other European “leaders” are shocked, then they’re clearly not fit for purpose and should be removed as soon as possible. By any means. It’s our own safety at risk.
Anyone who watched swarms of fit young men of combat age coming into Europe with their overweening sense of entitlement shouldn’t be remotely surprised. The only surprise being the time and location. Everything else was foreseeable.
