Eboladrome

It seems Jezza has upset the perpetually offended again…

But Jeremy Clarkson’s show The Grand Tour has brought with it the familiar whiff of controversy thanks to a tasteless joke about ebola.

The resemblance of a racetrack in his Amazon Prime series to a magnified image of the virus led Clarkson to dub it the Eboladrome.

And the remark brought an immediate backlash from viewers startled by the former Top Gear star’s apparent insensitivity over a disease that killed 30,000 in West Africa two years ago.

Startled, indeed. If an off-colour joke such as that is startling to you, then you had better not get out of bed in the morning. Thing is, if you are watching Clarkson and co then you should be expecting such humour. This time, though, the BBC don’t have control, so he won’t be forced to issue an insincere non-apology. Heh!

And while The Grand Tour contained many of the ingredients that made Top Gear such a hit, some fans reacted with disbelief at the latest gallows humour.

To which I would say; grow the fuck up and get over yourself.

  1. I really hope they keep jokes like that coming. Fuck the whingers, I hope they are mortified and offended every single episode.
It’s about time they started suffering other people’s opinions for a change.
God knows we’ve had to put up with their crap for years.

  2. I quite like his comment that “We are going to be gypsies, only we’re going to insure our cars.” I wonder how many of the Caravan Utilising Nomadic Travellers, and their supporters, that will offend? More please.

  3. In reality there is a mutually beneficial relationship between entertainers like Clarkson and the perpetually offended. The offenderati get a steady supply of new things to be angry about, to keep them on a permanent high of self-righteous fury. The entertainer gets a huge amount of free publicity and the reputation of being a brave iconoclast. Both sides get what they want.

      • And long may it continue unabated! It’s about bloody time these wimps were told to shut the fuck up.

They have a choice, to watch or not to watch. Surely that’s not so difficult to understand? Seems fairly straightforward to me.

  4. Clarkson isn’t my cup of tea, and i won’t be watching the show, but please Mr C more of the same as often as you like, don’t like it then don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out.

Snowflakes should be perma offended, as said we’ve had to accept the utter bollocks they’ve been coming out with for years, so they’ve got years overdue payback.coming
