Oh, Do….

Go fuck yourself.

Of course British Muslims are being held back. This is an Islamophobic country

There is no such thing as Islamophobia. It is an artificial construct created to silence critics. However, if Muslims want to integrate into this society, then I’m more than happy to welcome them. If they choose to display their religious affiliation openly by wearing idiotic dress more suited to a desert environment and culturally affiliated to Wahhabism, then I see no reason to be amenable. This is an ideology diametrically opposed to the values of a modern, liberal democracy, rooted as it is in medieval barbarism and I deplore it.

I do not force anyone to be a Muslim. They are welcome to turn their backs on this death cult if they wish. They could behave and dress as the rest of society does. They might find they are more welcome.

All that said, this is the usual Guardianesque whining that it is all someone else’s fault – usually middle-aged white men…

So go fuck yourself.

Notably, there are no commenting facilities on this excrescent garbage. I wonder why?

  1. Good post, agree.

There is no such thing as Islamophobia.

Correct. Fear of muslims is not irrational given their behaviour – from child rape/sodomy to murder of non-muslims for being non-muslims.

They [muslims] could behave and dress as the rest of society does. They might find they are more welcome.

    +1

  2. I’m ambivalent on this one. On one hand I don’t want Islam in Europe. On the other, if anyone, Muslim or otherwise, wants to dress how they wish then it’s their business.
If I wanted to wear armour plate top half and a ballerina dress and rigger’s boots lower, with a cage of squirrels as a hat then so what? It’s not crappy dress sense that defines the enemy but what he does.

    • LR wasn’t telling people how they should dress, but pointing out that if you choose to present yourself in a certain way then you will get certain reactions.

So if Muslims use their dress to make it clear they’re different, then they shouldn’t be surprised when they get treated differently.

      • Indeed. There was a time when I would be refused service in pubs because I wore a leather jacket. It was annoying, but their gaff their rules. I simply took my business elsewhere. But, yes, my mode of dress created a reaction among some people. I had to accept that.

    • The issue here isn’t about dress per se. It’s about a deliberate refusal to integrate, a deliberate rejection of the cultural norms of the host nation. I have no problem with people dressing differently – I do it myself on occasion – but I do have an issue with people wearing their religion on their sleeves. I can live with orthodox Jews and Sikhs because they don’t engage in special pleading. Muslims, however, are following a cult that wishes to assimilate us into them, not the other way around, so, yes, I am going to regard people who wear Wahhabi tents with suspicion and hostility.

      • It’s curious how many of them reject our society, reject our courts, insult our beliefs, abuse our women and call everyone racist.

And yet they quite happily accept housing benefit and jobseekers’ benefits…

    • On the other, if anyone, Muslim or otherwise, wants to dress how they wish then it’s their business.

Would you want to be in a supermarket where most of the female staff are niqabis? Or your doctor won’t see you because you’re a man, or you’re gay? Or where your kids are taught by a niqabi? Or your local police officer is a niqabi?

  3. Islam is the impediment to Muslims being socially mobile, that and choosing to live in Islamic ghettos.

All the successful Muslims I know, including a couple of engineering professors, are secular, mobile and enjoy a beer or glass of wine, i.e. they do not define themselves as Muslim and fit seamlessly into the society that they have chosen to live in without demanding it change to accommodate them.

I’m happy to tell people I despise Islam, there is nothing to admire about it and its influence on the modern world is entirely negative. I respect the right of people to believe whatever they choose, but if they choose to believe in the evil cult of Mohammed and to define their being based on that belief, they have no right to demand that I respect them or that I should accommodate their belief in anyway.

  4. Schools that teach their kids nothing useful because they devote all their time to memorising the Koran won’t be helping. In any case, I don’t see Muslims in Muslim countries climbing the ladder to success that much, apart from the ones that own the oil wells.

  5. No comments allowed because of the anti Muslim shit storm they would get. Not everyone who reads the online Graun is a rabid left winger able to put up with Muslin hypocrisy re living here but hating common law, hating democracy and of course hating us and the Jews. So why do they come here? Benefits?.
