Sounds Dreadful

An NHS for food and housing. Because, of course, the NHS has worked so well, hasn’t it?

The level of naiveté that exists among these people is staggering. It’s as if history never happened. It’s as if the Soviet Union was merely a flicker in the ether, a dream, an imagining, a mirage.

If the Soviet system – oh, sorry, NHS model – was introduced for housing, say, how will that be decided? Will the soviet – oh, sorry, state – decide who live where. Will the reality be like that scene in Dr Zhivago where people are told that the state will determine their needs and house them accordingly?

History tells us again and again that the Soviet experiment was an abject failure leaving piles of dead bodies in its wake, yet still we get cretins praising socialism as if it is a good thing. It is not. It is evil. Pure fucking evil.

  1. Cretins isn’t strong enough, I suggest Enslavers

Hmm, I was wrong: expected Stalinist to be Paul Mason or Richard Murphy (too insane for Owen), but it’s Abi Wilkinson.

Abi’s always seem to be naive lefty SJWs – remember Howards Way?

Sarah Churchwell: “…I actually watched a horrifying video of a policeman breaking a young woman’s fingers one by one.

I mean, there was really sadistic violence happening on the ground there…”

    Really?

Over 12 hours before QT recorded; the woman who made that allegation had admitted it didn’t happen and she made it up:

Was Churchwell watching another BBC/CNN staged news production?

  2. I was recently looking at the Conservative manifesto for 1945, which reads on health: “The health services of the country will be made available to all citizens. Everyone will contribute to the cost, and no one will be denied the attention, the treatment or the appliances he requires because he cannot afford them.

“We propose to create a comprehensive health service covering the whole range of medical treatment from the general practitioner to the specialist, and from the hospital to convalescence and rehabilitation….”

All the political parties were promising something like this, but the Tories also proposed that personal choice would be retained: “Nothing will be done to destroy the close personal relationship between doctor and patient, nor to restrict the patient’s free choice of doctor”. That’s where Labour went wrong, it seems to me, by imposing a top down civil service run bureaucratic NHS.

  3. Well Mr. Rider, if you keep on refusing to eat only the type of food that is on the government’s list of healthy recommendations, I’m afraid that they will have no choice but to close all the shops down and make sure that only the right kinds of food are available free from approved government outlets. Twenty years on you can hear the outraged screaming when some evil Tory suggests that people should pay for their own food.

Also just think what we can achieve with government approved low energy, low water “green” houses. Nothing works properly but you have to lump it because the government has assured that there are no alternatives.

I just can’t wait for the sheer joy of being so fortunate as to be living in such a people’s paradise.

  4. Slightly removed from the topic, but I just spotted this over at the Daily Mash and thought that you would like it.

“CHILDHOOD obesity is not as serious an issue as all the knobheads droning about how it proves Britain has gone to the dogs, experts believe.

Researchers have found that fat kids are far less damaging to society than the adults who cannot see them without barking self-righteously about videogames or benefits claimants or whatever.

Dr Mary Fisher said: “Overweight children break a few chairs, sure, but there aren’t that many of them.

“Whereas the bores sapping your will to live with incessant rants about children not being allowed to go out and play nowadays because of ‘health and safety’ number in the tens of thousands.

“These hateful compassion-voids really want to bully the playground fatty directly but can’t, so instead they claim that it’s some new phenomenon of modern life like Billy Bunter never happened.

“They need to be put on an immediate diet of shutting the fuck up, coupled with a course of exercising their brains enough to recognise the garbage spewing out of their mouths.”

Fisher added: “The fat kids will probably lose the weight later. Besides, it’s funny watching them try to do sport.””

  5. Wilkinson is churning out articles which would make a 12 year old embarassed. It’s a race to the bottom at The Guardian these days.
