Whut?

Because intervention in Iraq and Libya worked out so well, didn’t it?

Tony Blair has said Britain should support take military action against Bashar al-Assad in response to the use of chemical weapons in Syria.

The former prime minister said Theresa May should be prepared to support potential US strikes because “non-intervention is also a policy with consequences”.

Fucking idiot! No, we should not intervene. Yes it’s tragic. However it is a civil war and therefore not our business. We have no way of knowing who the good guys are here and as we should have learned, intervention in middle eastern wars has a nasty habit of backfiring. No! No! No! Fucking Hellski!

  1. I am rather struck by the West’s relative lack of outrage when Assad’s forces shoot and fire various ordinance to kill hundreds and thousands of it’s citizens, contrasted with the immediate humanitarian outrage when Assad’s forces kill a smaller group of them by dropping nasty gases on them.

Perhaps I’m not seeing this whole “mass killing” thing correctly.

    • Except they don’t. It’s the US supported rebels who cause all the mayhem. The British press do not have any form of reliable news source. Just so you know. In 2014 under the auspices of the OPCW at the behest of Russia the Assad govt. destroyed all it’s chemical weapons. Russia started destroying their stockpiles in 1992 and finished in 2017. So, who supplied the gas to Assad? The USA and UK who despite signing the proliferation treaty still have very substantial volumes of various nerve agents stockpiled. Why should the west give a damn about the misery it has sponsored in Syria? What a wonderful way to unite public opinion in the west by staging an attack and blaming it on a govt. where victory is literally days away. The UK is talking about entering the fray, completely illegaly of course, just like Iraq, except it’s spiffing Typhoons are going to come up against the most sophisticated anti aircraft defense system in the world, incidentally made in Russia and some exceptionally competent air superiority fighters as well. I’ve already ordered the popcorn.

  2. Blair is someone who should keep very quiet on anything to do with WMDs I feel. If other nations,if Russia and the USA, had kept out of the Syrian Civil War, it would probably be all over now and be emerging from an Arab Winter into an Arab Ice Age.
No doubt May’s ‘appropriate’ response will be a sharply worded tweet @assad….

  3. I don’t think that there are any good guys,I think that there are bad guys and even worse guys. Also yes, we should mind our own business.

  4. The Blair Creature, May & MSM would do well to remember how we felt about USA & USSR both siding with & funding/arming UK enemies in NI Civil War aka “The Troubles”, Op Banner.

As JohnnyRVF says, there are no reliable sources in the anti-Assad areas, too dangerous for Western MSM and many “Charities”. Every story is Fake News until proven true.

UK Gov’t should stay silent and do nothing.

  5. “Tony Blair has said…”

Four words absolutely guaranteed to make me immediately demand the opposite of whatever follows them.

    • This. Does anyone know where I can obtain a bracelet with the words ‘What would Blair not do?’ on it?

  6. You are quite right. To her credit May is not wading in following Trump. Blair is very quick off the Mark as he was with Bush. I really hope we are not seeing the start of WW3
