Goose and Gander

White lives don’t matter, it seems.

Burnley’s captain, Ben Mee, said he felt ashamed and embarrassed of supporters who organised a banner displaying the words “White Lives Matter Burnley” to be flown over the Etihad Stadium on Monday. Burnley have vowed to issue lifetime bans to those responsible for the offensive stunt.

So, Black Lives Matter and White Lives are offensive and embarrassing. Black supremacy and outright Marxism is okay (because, make no mistake, that is what this movement is all about), but daring to point out the rampant hypocrisy is not.

The plane flew over Manchester City’s stadium shortly after the players, coaching staff and match officials had taken the knee in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Burnley swiftly issued a statement that apologised “unreservedly to the Premier League, to Manchester City and to all those helping to promote Black Lives Matter”.

Fuck you and the horse you rode into town on. I will not play your game. BLM is a racist organisation and is designed to create division where there was none. Kneeling for this vile organisation is submission and I will not submit. Well done to whoever organised this stunt. We need more of this push-back against a blatant, racist supremacist movement.

That long march through the institutions really paid off, didn’t it?

Set against the BLM message of equal rights ‘White Lives Matter’ can only be motivated by racism and a denial of equal rights.

Bullshit.

  1. As far as I am aware, western democracies have had equal rights now for several decades. Despite this, certain groups of people have continued to under achieve. The reason for this are complicated but a tendency to blame your failures on anyone but yourself seems to be a common feature.

  2. I was interested to discover that there is a “Black Lives Matter UK” with quite a lucrative Gofundme page. The problem seems to be that none of the addresses appear to exist nor can the beneficiaries be contacted. Nigerian or Home grown I wonder? On the other hand shearing the woke sheeple is something I cannot in good conscience fault them for even if it is rather “iffy”. Torn between my dislike of BLM and their woke donors and the probable illegality if the Inland Revenue wake up and take an interest. Must remember to order more popcorn.

  3. Even if the stunt was problematic why did Burnleys captain feel the need to apologise? He didn’t do it.
Is taking on collective guilt any different to giving it out?

A spokesplod on the radio was saying how very important it was to identify those responsible: and do what exactly? Prosecute for air traffic violations? It would take a very on-message magistrate to allow a hate crime conviction.

    • Update 6am 23-6-20. Lanks Police announce No Crime committed by White Lives Matter banner flyers.
Seems spoksplod was being a bit previous in urging us to hunt them down, up for some re-training perhaps.

  4. Meanwhile, I thought the whole thing was an appropriate response to the BLM’s rampant hypocrisy and in addition, rather funny. Exactly what any self-respecting Brit should do in the face of racist ideology.

  5. Wouldn’t Ben Mee be better off being ashamed of the abysmal performance of Burnley being thumped 5-0? Or (and I’m being cynical here) did he just leap on the bandwagon of condemning thie off-field incident to divert from a pathetic performance on the field?

  6. Blackpool Airport has now suspended all flights by “Air Ads”. Interestingly, two of the directors of the airport (owned by the council but operated on its behalf) have the title “councillor”. ’nuff said.

    • The organiser of the flight has lost his welding job as a result and his wifes hers as a beautician.
Let that be a lesson to all wrongsayers
