I Repeat

A large percentage of a small number is a slightly larger small number.

Britain’s daily Covid cases spiked to 6,048 today in a 90 per cent jump on last Tuesday — the biggest rise since before Christmas, as fears continue to grow that the rapid spread of the Indian variant will cause No10 to delay England’s June 21 ‘Freedom Day’.

I wonder who is the more stupid – the journalists writing this crap, the so called experts in SAGE peddling it or the government for believing it – or, of course the gullible populace that is taken in by it. Just over 6,000 cases (not the same thing as people actually being ill) is a tiny number when taken in the context of a population of 70 million and deaths remain in double digits, so minuscule. What we have here is a tiny amount of people who have tested positive and yet we are expected to panic. How would these cretins manage if we had a real emergency?

Percentages are meaningless when taken out of context. One positive test in an area where there have been none before is a 100% increase, yet still we have the mathematically illiterate leading the gullible and being believed.

Department of Health bosses also announced another 13 deaths from the virus, and said 126 Covid patients had been admitted to hospitals on June 2, the latest day figures are available for.

Yes, out of a population of seventy-fucking-million, you arseholes!

I wonder how long I can go before I start bashing my head against the wall in sheer frustration and the imbecility here.

Thanks for that link! One of the key reasons behind the ‘crisis’ in India was the switch to Vaccines from treatment – treatment which I know from firsthand conversations had been effective – My only criticism of your suggestion is that I think Firing squads would be too honourable a death for these people…

        • No – some bastard lawyer would get the hanging, drawing and quartering to run concurrently, not consecutively and lessen the severity. Just you wait and see …

  1. In England and Wales every day, on average, about 1,500 people die. So 13 deaths is not even 1% of the daily mortality rate. And that’s why they want to extend lockdown by two weeks or a month or whatever? Bloody hell. They are tyrants. There’s no other word for them.

  2. “A large percentage of a small number is a slightly larger small number.”

Only if the large percentage is more than 100%.

In this case, 90% of a small number is a slightly smaller small number.

I think what you meant is: “A large percentage RISE (or INCREASE) of a small number is a slightly larger small number.
