Nothing Will Change

The petition to rescind the creature Blair’s knighthood has hit the 1m target. Which is good.

A petition demanding that Tony Blair be stripped of his knighthood reached its goal of one million signatures today.

The petition, set up by former soldier Angus Scott at New Year, claims that the former Labour Prime Minister had been the cause of ‘irreparable damage’ to the constitution of the United Kingdom – and ‘the very fabric of the nation’s society’.

This will, of course, change nothing. Bear in mind that when this slime ball was prime minister, a similar amount of people actively voiced opposition to the invasion of Iraq and that was ignored. They will claim that the other sixty-odd million have remained silent, so they are happy with it. Whatever excuse, they will go ahead anyway because they regard us with contempt and he is part of the establishment elite.

However, they aren’t getting away with it without opposition being voiced and that is, at least, a good thing. I will never refer to him as ‘sir.’ Cur , maybe…

  1. I didn’t think anything would change when I signed it – they never have any effect…

I did get great comfort watching the ‘Fuck Offs’ rolling over to the big 1M tho!

    • I signed it too, with the same thoughts. Have to admit that firstly I’m surprised at the sheer speed of it reaching 1M signatories, and secondly the joy I felt reading the comments of the signatories. At the time of signing the petition had amassed 318,000 within 24 hours.

  2. Now exceeding the 1M.
While I was there I also signed the retrial of the ‘Colston Four’ petition.

    • The petition for a retrial of the Colston Four is even more futile than the Blair petition.
It is also calling for something dangerous. The state doesn’t like a Not Guilty verdict, OK prosecute again.
I know that we have lost protection from Double Jeopardy, that is another part of Labour’s evil legacy. However I am surprised, shocked and saddened about the attitude of some on the Right to recebnt events.

      • I agree with the idea of retrying being a bad idea. It’s absurd. The jury has spoken. Unfortunately, this sends a really bad message. That destruction of property is OK if you have the right politics.

        • The Four actually can’t be retried and nor should they be but a petition at least registers public unease that the jury returned a verdict based on politics rather than on the facts of the case in which the four were clearly guilty of criminal damage and would have been found guilty by a jury had it based its verdict solely on the facts and the law.

  3. I also believe it won’t change anything but he will hear about it and know that even now after all those years we still hate him.

As far as the Colston verdict goes. It is insignificant. We have had jury nullification before that wasn’t right but such is life. These idiots will do it again and every day there are less snowflakes around so next time justice will prevail. We shouldn’t encourage retrials till they get the right result under any circumstances.

  4. Don’t forget that Blair will never. ever take a seat in the House of Lords because he refuses to declare any of his dodgy business dealings or tax affairs to the Register of Interests

And even the dark Lord Mandelson managed to pass that level of scrutiny…

  5. “I will never refer to him as ‘sir.’”

I will continue to refer to him as “That Nice Mr. Blair”. Because the people who thought Things could Only Get Better must never be allowed to forget.
