And For Us?

If this poll is significant (usual caveats apply) then we could be in for an interesting time. Again.

Boris Johnson and half of his Cabinet could lose their seats if a general election were held now, a poll has revealed.

The Conservatives are facing ‘electoral wipeout’ following the Partygate scandal, a pollster warned, as data shows they are on track to lose a staggering 164 MPs, leaving them with just 201 – only three more than when Tony Blair thumped Michael Howard in 2005.

I can’t say that this isn’t deserved. After all, the country thought it was electing a Conservative government. But what would it mean for us?

The JL Partners poll of 4,500 people says Sir Keir Starmer‘s Labour would pick up 352 seats, an increase of 150, giving him an overall majority of 14, reports the Times.

Shit.

  1. The Cons deserve to lose almost every seat.
The few who raised objections or hinted that some common sense be applied during the covid farce can be counted on one hand and spoke and voted against too late.

Typically our electorate automatically have to vote for the other dead party, oblivious to the fact they deserve not one seat either having abdicated their duty as the opposition and went along with everything, only criticising measures as not draconian or swift enough.

Partygate is but a minor sideshow, i’ve never given two hoots about it because i never paid the slightest attention to whatever the govt or its media lackeys told us, and neither should anyone else have done.

Maybe the electorate deserve Labour again, another few years of Blairism with the arse himself lurking around like some tanned version of death directing things as his sponsors wish might wake one or two, breath not held.

On another note, people are still wearing bloody masks in the supermarket, they are beyond help, several people i know who thought i/we were mad for not taking the jabs are now voicing concern they’ve been misled or worse and wishing they hadn’t, this after 3 jabs leaving them feeling unwell for various lengths of time, but Putin and Trump are the bad guys somehow, incredible.

All of these people will be voting as the media tells them.
    RIP GB.

  2. Who wants to be in government when the financial crash comes, the price of essentials goes skywards, the covid bills start coming in, the electorate realise the have been conned over, magic medicines given the get-out-of-gaol-free card, “free” renewable energy, global warming, our NHS, our police, our pitiful armed services, our education system, the diving worth of our savings, etc. etc..
The pollies are playing pass the parcel with a steaming lump of poo, with a grenade inside.

  3. Ah, so whatever happens in an election, the UK will be governed by a bunch of twats. No change there then.

Meanwhile in the Glorious, Free and Independent, People’s Democratic Republic of Cwmbranistan (aka our house) smoking indoors is allowed, wine is compulsory and the cats are second-class citizens because they’ve ruined the stair carpet…

  4. There was a time when I would have been horrified to see the likes of the current Labour party in power. Now I can’t see much difference between them and the CINO party. Yes they are worse but not by much.

Masks at the supermarket, it seems to depend when you go. I nipped into Asda for milk late Saturday afternoon and they were everywhere. Weekday afternoon, it’s a bit quieter and masks are at about 20%. Jabs, I’ve had three with no Ill effects but I won’t be having any more. With hindsight I think that I might have decided not to have the jab had I been aware of its lack of efficacy. Weighing up potential risks, the jab not really working tips the balance somewhat.

  5. The only fact you can gain from a poll is that a question had been answered. Whether the answeree (is there such a word?) was telling the truth or was winding up the pollster, no one will know till the next election. And only 4,500 were polled! Was this in different parts of the country or concentrated on 4 star hotels in the Dover area? I think we should have a poll to find out if those being polled are telling porky pies.
