We Told You

Two and a half years later, the covid sceptics are being vindicated. It’s something of a pyrrhic victory, given that the damage has been done. But back then, I knew we were right. Logic, reason, the government’s own statistics and science told me that we were right. I knew full well that this day would come.

Rishi Sunak has said the government gave too much power to scientists during Covid lockdowns – and was not honest about the potential downsides.

Well, whoop de doo. Finally. Too little too late, though. But now they will perhaps regret referring to us as covidiots? No? Silence. Indeed, all I hear is silence from those acquaintances who vilified anyone who dared to challenge the orthodoxy, who dared not to wear masks and who dared to defy the idea that lockdowns were a good idea. It’s almost as if none of it ever happened, that they never treated us as if we were spreading disinformation. Except it wasn’t us, was it? It was them. It was always them. And now we are paying a heavy price because of it.

The Tory leadership contender and former chancellor told the Spectator said ministers were banned from talking about the “trade-offs” involved.

He also said it was “wrong to scare people” with posters showing Covid patients on ventilators.

There was enough evidence at the time. We told you. The signatories of the Great Barrington Declaration told you, but you ignored us. Of course, you could have exercised some principles and resigned, whereupon you could have spoken out, but you didn’t. So, I have no time for you, just as I have no time for anyone responsible and the enablers who went along with it.

We told you so. It brings me no pleasure being right, but we were right all along. Now fuck off and die. I am not in a mood to forgive.

  1. Scientists? They were /are not scientists.
A bunch of scare mongering failed statisticians, social “scientists”, medical know-alls who were never near a patient, petri dish or microscope since schooldays, quacks, and snake oil purveyers.
SAGE – a single word oxymoron. There must be a collective noun applicable to a cluster of morons?
It has been the posters in Scriblerus that let me know that I was not alone in my scepticism, and perhaps ensured my health.

    • Behavioral psychologists who engaged on a massive social experiment to see if they could terrify the population into compliance. It worked. They should all be hanged.

    • A murder is a group of crows.

It would be harsh on crows to have them associated in any way with these clowns…

What’s a group of clowns called? A circus?

      • Stop calling them clowns. Clowns are funny. They’re not. They are murderers and knew precisely what they were doing and now that the truth is leaking out, its way past jail time for Ferguson, Whitty, Hancock and the rest of their fellow travelers in SAGE. And while we’re about it, let’s also have the heads of all the mainstream media.

Whilst the people were locked up in their houses, Whitty and Hancock were killing the old folks by giving them a mixture of Midazolam and Morphine for breakfast, then blaming us for killing grandma by venturing out. In May of 2020 Whitty ordered a 2 year supply of Midazolam, which was depleted by October 2020.

Some of us have not lost focus.

  2. “…ministers were banned from talking about the “trade-offs” involved.”

What? And you accepted this? Banned by whom and on what authority? Ministers correct response should have been screw that, we are discussing this whether you like it or not, you don’t get to ban people from discussion in Parliament. Banning people from discussing something is also a pretty massive red flag that indicates that they are hiding something. Mainly that they are wrong and know that they are.

  3. So, the bloke who lacked the honour and integrity to say what he truly thought (yeah right) at the time and like magic proudly pulled untold printed £billions from his ringpiece to finance the farce really believes he deserves to lead the country back up the cliff face we are plunging down?

There’s but a handful in the house of ill repute who should be considered to run the country, and they will only be found on the back benches, could someone ring the tories up and remind them when in hole best stop digging.

Us alleged conspiracy theorists never were, we were and still are ‘things aren’t adding up and it’s becoming ever more obvious’ theorists.

  4. I think that the outbreak on the Diamond Princess cruise ship gave a fairly accurate way to work out how bad the thing would turn out to be in the wider world.

I popped into Lidl this morning, just two idiots with masks on.

  5. “Mr Sunak also said ministers were not given enough information to scrutinise analysis produced by official scientific advisers on the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), and internal opposition to certain measures from advisers was not reflected in official minutes of meetings.“

Chalk another one up for the “conspiracy theorists”, then. How many’s that now? I’ve lost count.

  6. He is even more of a twat that I gave him credit for. He is spineless too.

My take is that he kept his mouth shut, being only the 2nd most powerful politician in the country, and let the country go ever more into debt, people go bankrupt and cause thousands of deaths because he did not want to inconvenience johnson. Hanging is too good for the lot of them.

  7. Sunak is a moron who has, by his own utterances, just proven himself to be unfit for government. The real tragedy for my beloved Britain is that the House of Fools is stuffed full of such creatures; with only one or two honourable exceptions.

  8. I signed the Great Barrington Declaration as it was the obvious thing to do (not signing it but doing it). Over 99% of those healthy people who get a Coronavirus recover. Those who do not or have associated problems have an underlying genetic predisposition or an undiagnosed co-morbidity. Sad but it’s the same for influenza. Indiscriminate lockdowns were stupid and yes, I did say so at the time along with, “But it’s just a Coronavirus” in 2020 when the first lockdown was announced. Jeez…..all Whitty et al needed to do was read the chapter on Coronavirus in any decent virology text book.
