I believe that opening up the coal mine in question would reduce CO2 emissions because the coal currently being used for steel making is imported and has to make quite a long journey to get here. The claim that fracking causes more pollution than any other form of gas extraction is just an unsupported assertion. I would suggest that these people have never had to struggle to pay a fuel bill.
