Doctors pioneering womb transplants believe they are on the cusp of allowing transgender women to give birth to their own children.
Not unless they have managed to overcome the birth canal problem. Women have wider hips for a reason.
And they believe it is ‘medically possible’ to perform the procedure in trans women who were assigned male at birth but have had sex change surgery.
No one was assigned anything at birth. These are men. They were born men, they will die men and men cannot conceive, gestate or give birth to a child, that is why women have evolved – they are the other half of the process. It’s how all mammalian species reproduce, but only homo sapiens has the level of stupidity to believe that men and women can change sex and is prepared to engage in hideous surgical mutilation to satisfy a delusion.
However, Dr Porrett cautions it’s still too early to put a timeline on that kind of breakthrough and warns there could be increased risks in transgender patients due to hormones and previous gender-affirming surgeries.

The procedure is already considered high-risk in cisgender women due to increased risk of complications and many women needing the procedure having structural differences in their vaginas and other sex organs.
FFS! There is no such thing as a cisgender woman, there are men and there are women, this cis bollocks is cult speak and has no meaning outside of the cult. It is deeply offensive to the rest of us to be referred to using this vile slur. As for complications, well, this is experimental, unnecessary surgery. I can understand transplantation where it may extend life, but this is pure narcissism.
Doing this in a transgender woman, especially one who still has male sex organs, would be even more difficult due to those anatomical differences.
Oh, hang on there. Anatomical differences? But, but, but, if a man identifies as a women, he is a woman. At least that is what we are told. Now there are anatomical differences? Make your mind up.
And in our once-wonderful land who will pay for this?
Presumably it will be available on the NHS to the detriment of budgets designed for allowing treatment for ordinary decent folk.

If a trans man has a womb transplant, I assume this has eggs, or needs an egg to work which will come from a proper woman. So, assuming it all works and can carry a baby, does this mean that if said trans-man still has his man bits, he could use his own sperm to impregnate himself?
And if so, and he then carries the baby to term and it survives, would he then be legally (because obviously not biologically) the child’s mother and father at the same time?

It’s the of the term “assigned”.
You are born male or female. You can think what you like, but that is the biological reality. One day medical science, biochemistry, genetics etc may have advanced to the point that one biological gender can be genuinely, functionally, emotionally etc transformed into the other (which would require some pretty basic rewiring of the brain and its firmware).
But that day is not now, and until it comes along, what is being described is basically cack handed butchery.
What makes it evil is the debased ideological core that just sees human beings as – I was going to say raw material in a twisted social experiment, but the true core of these people is infantilised spite – simply munitions in a mewling, caterwauling, and above all, mindless war of childish hate.
The “cis”, “trans” whatever they are SO pseudo-passionate and pseudo-concerned about, in reality they no more value than a medieval warlord did the rotting corpses catapulted into a besieged castle.
And the basic motivation is the same: to spread disease and weaken the besieged to the point of surrender.
The disease is their mindlessness. Destruction uber alles. They can’t think past the immediate target of hate.
They will fail, but what damage will they do (can the damage they have done be unwound?) before then?

They are baby boys or male babies when they are born and they grow into men. But more than that, sex is determined by which sperm fertilises the egg. It’s determined at conception, or assigned, if you believe in a higher power watching over every egg and choosing a sperm for each egg.

Evolutionary pressure doesn’t have intelligence or direction only the consequences of natural selection. The more little swimmers that you have in your jizz, the more likely you are to have a coupling that results in conception. This remains true even when the numbers have evolved to a level of total overkill. The same principle is evident in small venomous creatures who need a venom powerful enough to subdue prey that is roughly their own size but have a bite that can kill a horse.
