Is the punishment.
This is the moment police are allegedly searching Laurence Fox’s house as the suspended GB News host smokes a cigar.
In footage posted on The Reclaim Party twitter page, Fox says to the camera: ‘Look how many coppers there are in my house…Coming to take everything out of my house. That ladies and gentlemen, is the country that we live in.’
The video appears to show multiple uniformed officers in what looks like Fox’s living room as he sits on a sofa watching them, dressed in a grey suit and smoking.
MailOnline has contacted the Met Police for comment.
Apart from make crass remarks about Ava Evans, what is he supposed to have done? What laws is he suspected of breaking? What is it that justifies a search warrant?
I suspect there are no answers to any of these questions. Laurence Fox is a naughty little boy and the state is letting him know who is in charge in no uncertain terms. That this is a disgrace doesn’t need me to point it out.
If – as has been claimed – it’s about his remarks about the anti-ULEZ blade runners, the cops are going to need a lot more paddy wagons!
It’s being reported that after they left his home they went to Chris Packham’s house as he too was advocating law breaking, oh no hang on that was on channel 4 so all good.
He is known to have stated on air that he knows the BladeRunners and agrees with them and he would join them to put “his money where is mouth is”. Purely on that basis, he must have know they would give him a tug. Now he is in custody they will be rooting through his phone, computer, tablet etc, to find names etc. As well as pressuring him to name them, and quick arrests of blade runners will be laid directly at his door.
Yup, he can be foolish. He could have expressed support more carefully without giving anything away. That said, from what I understand, they operate in small discreet groups.
By, allegedly, using the term “Who would shag her?” about a woman who is said to have commented “Wouldn’t shag you, mate”, individually, to several men who disagreed with her views, Fox was Shirley using the same level of courtesy?
I would suggest that the thousands of complaints received by GB NEWS was a concerted effort by the Sistahhood, to which the station cowardly capitulated.
Now, having sack Calvin Robinson, they have not only apologised, but made it official that free speech is not welcome on that station.
I initially thought that GB NEWS was a breath of fresh air, to clear away the polluted atmosphere of the MSM. Sadly, rather than challenge the MSM, it has joined them. Back to Al Jazeera.
Did he have a golliwog on the mantlepiece?
I remember posting a photo to the much-lamented Counting Cats of coppers breaking down the door of a family who refused to sell their house to the Glasgow City Council so it could be knocked down for the Commonwealth Sports Day. That must have been 10-11 years ago. (Actually, I think the rozzers were standing by as a gang of Council goons did the dirty work.) I know what country we live in.
Also what Penseivat said. Nobody ever talks about the context. And GB News is a spineless waste of space. The principled thing, way back when Mark Steyn was threatened, would have been to take Ofcom to the ECHR. Where GBN would surely have lost. But in doing so, it would have demonstrated to the country how utterly useless the European Convention is at protecting our rights…
“The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society, in the interests of national security, territorial integrity or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, for the protection of the reputation or rights of others, for preventing the disclosure of information received in confidence, or for maintaining the authority and impartiality of the judiciary.”
“Corruption of the youth” is what Plato went down for, two-and-a-half thousand years ago. This heap of bureaucratic guff wouldn’t have been any help at all.
Oh, but entering into a lawsuit it knows it would lose would just be cutting off its nose to spite its face, you say? It’s going down anyway. Apple Daily showed the world that “one country, two systems” is a lie. GB News is just going to flicker out of existence, unwatched, unnoticed, and largely unlamented.
What are they trying to do over there, journalism or selling adverts? Rhetorical question, of course.
